"I now know why I spent many an afternoon being dragged through galleries."

Transcript

"As the years go by, I now know why we spent many an afternoon being dragged through galleries and halls, waiting in line on a hot Florentine morning, to see a favourite Botticelli.

I'm a part of you in many ways. You taught me to look and look again, and I now see what you were showing me, teaching me to question what was in front of me and through knowledge came confidence.

I'm now a designer and grateful for the all that you have instilled within me. Today I give you something that money can't. When I design or I'm alone with my camera I start to give back what is yours. Now I can show you what I create, and hope that you see what you created within me. You shared your time with me, in a world where such things often come second.

And for now I've left your nest and you turn to what first inspired you. I now find you with your camera or pen focusing your thoughts once more."
