Joy Formidable

The Joy Formidable

The Joy Formidable, originally from North Wales, and called Sidecar Kisses, have since decamped to London, changed their name and began getting a great reputation in the capital's coolest cliques.

The band signed to Another Music = Another Kitchen records for the release of their debut single, Austere, in 2008.

Press reaction has been very positiive, with the NME describing them as "Epic, melodic, hand-shandy pop from a band who understand the true joys of life".

They run their own club night, Club Joie De Vivre, in Kilburn, London and have played Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing stages at the Reading and Leeds festivals.

In 2010 they signed to American label Black Bell Records, part of Atlantic Records. Their debut album, The Big Roar, is out in January 2011.
