Chilean miners: Has it made you rethink what's important in life?

After 69 days they've finally done it. All 33 miners are up and people are overjoyed. "I feel so proud to be a human." A sentiment repeated in many of the seemingly endless emails you've sent us on the Chilean miners rescue.
I've spent most of the morning clicking through your comments, from St Vincent's to Pakistan I get a real sense that the world stopped to watch these men emerge from the ground. I can't recall ever seeing so many heartfelt messages.
How has this story affected you? Are you now pausing for reflection? Has this story made you put things into perspective? Are you left with a greater faith in Humanity or God? Or is this a short term moment with no real lasting affects?

Christian in Lima, Peru, on Facebook - Amazed to know that a group of people have been saved while hundreds die in the Middle east just because the firstpower in the world want all their oil and want to keep being the "keepers of the world", do u think my faith will grow?

Chad emailed - This is not about 'workers'. This is about people. We ALL work. Whether behind a desk or in a mine or in a home or a school, we are ALL 'workers'. I don't think that should be the focus, because it sets aside people who contribute to our society in physical ways as separate from the rest of us. There is no 'them'. There is only US.

The thing thatI noticed was the incredible professionalism of the planning and implementation of the rescue.It showed the capabilities of the Chilean nation. Well Done !

Tyler in Florida emailed - Why is God brought into the equation every time humans collaborate to do something great. Human minds and their creativity were the driving force behind this rescue, not an unproven idea about a higher power.
