Luther's back! Here's what it's all about, for those of you who've been living under a rock for the last 8 years.
Luther is a crime drama following the life of DCI John Luther, a dedicated police officer who lives his life on the edge as he attempts to stop the darkness of the crimes he deals with consume him.
Who's in Luther?
The Luther cast
Idris Elba. Idris shot to fame as Russell 'Stringer' Bell in The Wire, before moving on to become a renowned director with his feature debut, Yardie. Elba returns as maverick detective, DCI John Luther.
Wunmi Mosaku. Wunmi is an award-winning actor who has worked with the 主播大秀 numerous times. One of her early roles was as Joy in Moses Jones, before moving onto films such as Fantastic Beasts And Where To Find Them. Mosaku won a BAFTA for her role as Gloria Taylor in Damilola, Our Loved Boy. She's new to Luther and plays DS Catherine Halliday.
Ruth Wilson. Best know for her role as Alison Bailey in The Affair and more recently playing her own grandmother in 主播大秀 One drama Mrs Wilson. Wilson returns to Luther as serial killer Alice Morgan.
When's Luther on?
Luther airs on 1 January at 9pm on 主播大秀 One and will run daily for another three episodes.
