3:09 - Ian says: Hey man

3:09 - rigsy says: hi ian. you wanna do this thing?!

3:10 - Ian says: yeah!

3:10 - Ian says: i haven't been on messenger in years

3:10 - rigsy says: sweet. thought i was chatting to gerry, but YOU'LL DO I SUPPOSE ;-)

3:10 - Ian says: i get that a lot

3:10 - rigsy says: yeah man, it's all facebook chat now innit. ha ha. right, we'll get to the nuts n' bolts of the next single and yr gig in a moment

3:10 - Ian says: tis all facebook and bebo nowadays, aye. ok

3:11 - rigsy says: LOL @ bebo. i wanna talk about *that* song. well i'm calling it *that* song anyway

3:11 - Ian says: 'more than a feeling'?

3:11 - rigsy says: ha ha!!!!Ìýyou wish you'd written that. naw i reckon 'kid's don't behave like this' is my NI track of 2009 and up there with my general tracks of the year

3.12 - Ian says: wow, thanks man

3.12 - rigsy says: so i wanna know all about it. hopefully people reading this who havent heard it will click the youtube link. so tell me about it. who wrote it?

3.13pm - Ian says: almosty entirely gerry

3.13pm - rigsy says: what state was it in when he presented it to the band?

3.14pm - Ian says: often we flesh out songs together, work them from a chord progression or whatever at practice, but gerry had a really clear idea of the lyrical content and how he wanted each part to sound

3.14pm - rigsy says: what is it about? it sounds like its about people arguing over something stupid

3.14pm - Ian says: it was, i suppose, a picky acoustic track, but he had ideas. yeah it does that alright

3.15pm - rigsy says: it's the kind of track is always going to make people wonder who it's about.

3.15pm - Ian says: yeah. i think it's quite positive really in its outlook within that though

3.16pm - rigsy says: when you first played it as... a completed track... was it a proper... moment? did it feel like you'd really stumbled upon something special?

3.17pm - Ian says: yes. the first day we practiced it we knew we had something coherent. it gelled

3.17pm - rigsy says: and what about playing it live? any time i've seen it played, it's kicked off a bit. especially at our city hall gig

3.19pm - Ian says: it has that pulsing feeling, that just encourages you on stage i suppose. brings out the madness

3.19pm - rigsy says: the last time i spoke to someone in a band and when in to so much specifics about the one song was gary lightbody shortly after 'run' had made them superstars. do you think this song could do you some similar big favours?

3.20pm - Ian says: we really hope so. i think it's catchy enough and i feel like it keeps integrity at the same time

3.21pm - rigsy says: what would you add to it if it was being re-recorded in the best studio in the world with the best producer in the world?

3.21pm - Ian says: strangely enough we've recently finished a re-record with calderwood at manor park. i don't know if you've heard it but its pretty close to that!

3.22pm - rigsy says: no i haven't. neil calderwood has produced some of the best tracks to come outta here in the last few years, so that is VERY exciting. okay some quick fire questions as we're running out of time...!!!!!

3.23pm - Ian says: we talked about adding choir parts and strings etc, but i suppose we wanted it to sound like us. 4 guys. sorry ok yeah

3.23pm - rigsy says: plug... the gig!!!! and tell people just what they're missing if they don't see you... soon.

3.23pm - Ian says: 10th of december, empire Kasper Rosa, pocket promise, good fight, us - madness

3.23pm - rigsy says: some bill! what's the nicest thing anyones ever said about APR live?

3.24pm - Ian says: 'they should have been headlining' at Reading. ha

3.25pm - rigsy says: well TBF people always go on about you playing as if it's too a sold out arena!

3.25pm - Ian says: thom wouldn't be pleased

3.25pm - rigsy says: it's the launch for colour blue. explain how it's different to the song i've been harking on about

3.26pm - Ian says: yes, and 'kick start' the good fight song. colour blue is a punchier more 'post-hardcore' tune i suppose

3.26pm - rigsy says: people will go and check it out hopefully.Ìýbefore i let you go, as our 15 minutes alloted time is up :-/, have you and gerry, or you and anyone in APR had a row so stupid you could have said 'here....kids don't behave like this'??

3.27pm - Ian says: certainly. many

3.27pm - rigsy says: whats the stupidest thing you've rowed about, come on

3.27pm - Ian says: oh, i dunno. 'Shotgun'!

3.28pm - rigsy says: ha ha

3.28pm - Ian says: one poor fecker always has to ride in the back of the van!

3.28pm - rigsy says: cheers for your time dude, see you at the empire :-)

3.28pm - Ian says: thank you man, can't wait. all the besht

3.29pm - rigsy says: byeeeeeee. oh and tell gerry you spoke to me so he's off the hook and to get well soon

3.30pm - Ian says: will do!
