Chattering Classes #7 - Kowalski
Formerly the proud posessor of the finest beard in NI rock, Paddy from Kowalski took time out this week to chat to our Rigsy, who embarassed us all by NOT knowing the familial connection to Two Door Cinema Club. What a spoon! He has been beaten.
The good news is that Kowalski are back, back, back with an EP about to drop, the first track of which 'Get Back' is uttelry swoonsome and has been cuddling up to the ATL playlist for the past few weeks. Check some of the new tunes out at the Belfast4Haiti gig this coming weekend and at Skinny Love on Feb 3rd in Belfast, before they embark on an Irish tour with Two Door. Busy bees!

3:18pm - Rigsy says: grand yeah, we're all lovin the single in here, youz must be pretty pleased with the reaction in general? it's warm and wobbly.

3:21pm -ÌýPaddyÌý²õ²¹²â²õ: yea i no...we went through a bit of ****....but it's all back on track, we have a lovely new member/friend and we're working harder than ever to put the music we love making into all of our fans hands
3:21pm - Rigsy says: did youz kinda reach a crossroads? where it was...either we go for this properly, 100%....or don't bother at all? thats what it feels like, cause youz have a busy time ahead of youz
3:23pm -ÌýPaddyÌý²õ²¹²â²õ: yea thats pretty much it, making music was just starting to feel like a chore, we knew what we had to/wanted to do we just couldnt do it with the old setup

3:29pm -ÌýPaddyÌý²õ²¹²â²õ: yea i think our big mistake was to get too bogged down in it, its been so nice to be able to take a step back for a while and realise what it is all about. And that is the music! everything else comes second. the way we were doing that wasnt working so something had to change. were just so glad we realised that before it was too late

3:34pm - Paddy says: well the fact we havnt put anything out on cd in about 4years might be a start
3:34pm - Rigsy says: Holy guacamole. we're all so old...well i am anyway. I've only heard two tunes i think, are the rest any good?
