Glasgowbury_2010.JPGSo unless you're living under a huge rock, you'll know one of the biggest days of the Northern Irish music calender is this Saturday. One of the best things about Glasgowbury is the fact that so many great bands play in one place, over one day. In turn, you get a chance to catch those bands you just keep missing. to start planning your day now!

Team ATL picked one band each, who they're going to see for the first time ever at this year's Glasgowbury. Let us know your pick by shouting us here, on or on and we will give y'all a shout on the show tonight...

Rigsy - Silhouette (ATL Presenter)
Quite a few acts I need to see on Saturday to get a full house on my local-band bingo-card, but the one really screaming out from the bill are Silouette. It's a scandal, a disgrace and an outrage I've not managed to catch them to date given 'Volume Destroyed' is one of my singles of the year. Not really sure what to expect from a full set, but that just makes it even more interesting. 2.45pm, Eagles Rock Stage - they're not to be missed. Again...

Jimmy Devlin - Adebisi Shank (ATL Producer)
I first heard this band on a compilation CD someone gave me. It stood out so much. I couldn't stop listening to the same track over and over but never made it to see them live. Ive heard nothing but good things about them live and If they can get close to recreating the power they have on record, then i'm sure it'll be amazing. And apparently they can. Yeo.

Amy McGarrigle - Stand Up Guy (ATL Content Assistant)
It's not a proper festival unless you can catch something you normally wouldn't witness. So with that in mind, I'm hoping to get to Stand Up Guy on Saturday. Stalwarts of the local metal scene and the kind of proggy/drone styled metal that I've always loved, it's a bit of a disgrace I've never seen them live. They're just back from playing the likes of Download and T in the Park so they should be well fit for the festival crowd.

Steven Rainey - Fight Like Apes (ATL's Good ol'Chum)
Despite having loved the band's debut album and having interviewed the band on many occasions, I have still not managed to catch FLApes live yet. Indeed, there have been times where I've been in the same venue they've been playing, at the same time they've been playing, and I've still managed to miss them. This time round, I'm expecting some serious bass and synth driven carnage, with a side helping of MayKay shaped destruction on the main stage at 8.30pm. it's going to take something monumental to stop me this time...
