There's a lot of talk about places at this time of year, with holidays being booked or dreamt about. As good a reason as any then for what should be an interesting suggestionaire.
Whether it's somewhere you've been to, want to visit or wish to avoid, we'd like to hear your thoughts on the topic 'songs about places'. Has the magic of the location added to the song or is just a track you love regardless of lyrical content? Let us know via text - (81771 during the show) on our or via ! We'll try our best to give all of you a shout out and end tonight's show with a popular choice. Here's team ATL's suggestions....

Jay Z -
Possibly my favourite artiste singing about my favourite city -even then it's better than I expected. In fact, it's one of the finest songs of the last few years - Jay Z's flow is immaculate and stirring, Alicia Key's chorus is pop gold.
Even though all aspects of New York's ups and downs are represented in this song, it still desperately makes me want to return. If possible, with Jay Z as a tour guide....
Having recently upped the amount of time I give to 6music (drawn in by Huey Morgan's recent stint for Lauren Laverne) I've ended up in the company of Marc Riley quite a lot in the last few weeks. His show ain't the revolution, but it does a good job of keeping me company while i get the dinner on.
Only slight problem - every time I hear Riley's voice, I think about the glory days.
With two EPs in just a years existence, are one of the most pro-active bands in Northern Ireland. The Strabane/Belfast three-piece band are stepping it up even more, with a bunch of shows and a debut album (AND a Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing session!) on the horizon. Nothing more happens however, until they take a little time to chat to our Rigsy....

Darren says: Yo Yo
Rigsy says: good afternoon
Darren says: it certainly is
Rigsy says: is it disrespectful that i'm on my sofa and wearing tracksuit bottoms? kinda feels like it is
Having barely survived a night in the company of 2manydjs, who played Shine over the weekend, ATL thought it appropriate to celebrate the art of the remix. The Belguin duo, also known as Soulwax, are probably the kings of the remix, turning everything from The Gossip, MGMT, Dolly Partin and Lipps Inc into dancefloor destroyers. But we're not just talking about dance remixes, we're also thinking about any reworking which manages to take an already great track in an even better direction.
Let us know your thoughts and opinions by tapping us up here, on the ATL Facebook or ATL Twitter or text in to 81771 and we will give you a shout out on tonight’s show.
For this week's online chat, Rigsy caught up with legend in the making about his Belfast show tomorrow night, recording with David Holmes and plenty of random nonsense beside. The chat took an odd turn, as it became unclear whom was interviewing whom...

There is nothing ATL likes better than tenuous links to football, especially in regards to our SuggestiON-AIR feature. We figured after a weekend of FA Cup triumph in Manchester it would only be right to celebrate with the Blues and Reds and delve into the salacious geyser of Mancunian music and pick out our own personal highlights.
We want to hear your choices. What is your favourite track from a Mancunian band. Does Simply Red bring you to ‘Heaven’, maybe Take That ‘Relight Your Fire’ or maybe you like Oasis, ‘D’ya Know What I Mean.’
Let us know your thoughts and opinions by tapping us up here, on the ATL Facebook or the ATL Twitter and we will give you a shout out on tonight’s show.
I've been lucky enough (well I did save up and pay for tickets and transport, so 'lucky' doesn't seem fair) to see some classic festival sets - Radiohead at Glastonbury 1997, Kraftwerk at Benicassim 2004, Daft Punk at Coachella 2006....all remembered fondly for different reasons. But the best set I've watched in a field took place in Ireland. Thankfully.
We here at Across The Line are mainly known for our interest and support of local music in Northern Ireland on t'radio and t'internet. You would have to be foolish to write us off as just purveyors of music. We have many strings to our ample bow, don't you know. We fancy ourselves as renegades of the psychoanalytical world, clairvoyant cowboys who trek the rough terrain of the frontal lobe. We live to give bands the break through, to help those in the nutty industry of music find solace. We ask a series of questions and some of our favourite music makers answer them. Challenging, we know.
Gogol Bordello bring their beer soaked brand of European folk to the Mandela Hall in BelfastÌýon the 16th of March. We plumped the lie down sofa and asked bass player Thomas Gobena to share his tears and fears with the capable ATL psychiatrists.
For this week's chattering classes, our Rigsy caught up with , who've just came off a week long tour across England and Scotland. After quite a lot of online messing about, Dan (bass), Dan (drums) and Chris (guitars) from the band managed to set up a group chat....

With the release of the ever reliable Elbow and Noah and the Whale's new albums, this week we're thinking comfort and reassurance. Whether it's an album you put on when you need to make everything right in your world once again or a specific track you occasionally wallow in, we want to know!

Simply because I've been flat out listening to it all weekend (not sure why). 'Screamadelica' could soundtrack my 'happy place' but this one track is the comfy sofa in a cosy log-cabin of an album. Warm, epic, squelchy, fuzzy, reassuring and very comforting indeed.
So each week on the Dance Show we have one of our super-knowledgeable panel of residents join us with some hot tunes for you to get your hands on. We're going to share one of these with you online every week too, these are tunes you really do need to have in your life, but don't just take our word for it, here's Phil with this week's selection...

The debut track under my solo Miracle Boy guise hits later this month on Derry based label Bored Audio. It comes with a rather tasty remix package courtesy of Deep Space Orchestra and Justin Robertson's Deadstock 33's.
Myself and office layabout Steven Rainey went on a little road trip yesterday. We packed our lunch boxes, combed our hair and set off for Dublin, to report back from the 2011 Choice Music Award’s. The lineup was killer; each of the nominated acts showcased their wares bar Imelda May, who was touring in Australia.

Among the highlights of the night were the performances from Halves and Cast of Cheers, as well as a chin wag with Neil Hannon and a celeb spot of the 'eternally miserable one' they call Morrissey. To top it all off, our Bangor brethren Two Door Cinema Club walked off with prize and brought it back up north. I think a collective yeeeeooooo is in order for the lads! 1,2,3 YEOOOOOOO!
And we captured some of the excitement in cinematic quality! Sundance here we come!
Yesterday a very cryptic email came into the ATL inbox. The title read 'Major Announcement Regarding Music Event', and it came with very little detail other than that we had to be at the Waterfront in Belfast at 08:45am. So - quite rightly - the gossip in the office was rife. What music event? Why have we all been so hastily gathered? Does the time "08.45am" actually exist, and if so what does it mean?!? These all seemed like reasonable questions to us, and being the nosey parkers that we are, it meant that we were definitely going to get our sleepy keesters to the event.

Napoleon are back on the ATL Radar again this week with a big headlining slot on Belfast's premier weekly Club Radar night at the Queens Students Union. Rigsy caught up with the guys to moot the MTV Awards and their gig in the Speakeasy in Belfast on Thursday night.

Rigsy says: ready when you are....
Mash says: born ready. Rigsy says: YES! there he is. why did you show up as a wee lightbulb on my chat?
Mash says: no idea.happy to be a green dot. Rigsy says: thought it was cause you're full of good ideas. whats the best idea you've ever had?
Mash says: Good question. Let's make it topical and say it was, to start a band, but I am full of good ideas.
ÌýATL sent our roving reporter Scott Edgar toÌýgalivant around the festival and report back to us with his findings. Here is how he got on.

With so much to see, ATL’s festival kicks off with a fairly ramshackle show in Madison’s basement, lacking a crowd, a soundman, and a PA, but the Belfast never-say-never attitude kicks in and before too long, bands are on stage and we’re underway. Master and Dog seem to be going through the motions, maybe a little thrown off their game by the preceding disarray, but by the time Louisiana Joyride take the stage, the crowd has built up nicely and it’s time for a Wednesday night hoedown. The highlight of the night is a delightful acoustic set from Seven Summits, a stripped down set really highlighting the songwriting talent behind the band.
The ATL team write about anything and everything relevant to the Northern Irish music scene, the show itself and possibly some random stuff besides, and invite you to comment, discuss and participate.
