Eagle's Rock, 8pm

Describe in a tweet: A proper spectacle, a visual treat. Oh, and the music's great too.

What happened: Perfect for festivals, Katie & The Carnival bring a little theatre, a little glamour and a great deal of fun. The carnival is two backing singers (who'll occasionally dance in symmetry like backing singers should) with a four piece band, each dressed for the occasion. Katie looks incredible, every bit the sparkling front woman, armed with a ludicrously sultry voice. Engaging is an understatement.

Goldstar: 'I Can't Get No Sleep' makes the most of Katie's incredible voice, 'Dark Before the Dawn' is as groovy as it is dramatic. Current single 'Went to the Fair' brings it all together, wrapping up this bands charm in a dinky little nutshell.

Lost at Sea: That porcelain doll strapped to the mic stand is really, really creepy looking.

Rating: 8/10
