Glasgowbury 2011 - Le Galaxie
Spurs of Rock, 5.50pm
Describe in A Tweet: It’s a midday cosmic rave-up – the party starts with Le Galaxie!
What happened: The beginning of the set may have been tempered by technical glitches and a minor debate with the soundguy, but soon those beats start to flow and the rhythm takes everyone by surprise. A half empty tent is soon filled to the brim, and even the lone poi slinger is shoved aside. Drawn in by far-out layers of synths and an energetic, undeniably unique performance, it’s a space odyssey through dance music with these guys.

Goldstar: Even by the time the tent is pumping nobody can match the frontman’s unique dancing style, shaking moves with a cowbell and drumstick that most people only think they would be able to do.
Lost At Sea: Technical problems may have marred the beginning of the set and the tent may be half empty, but this doesn’t last for long. In fact, the biggest problem is that time limits were imposed so we were denied that one last song.
