Our gig of the week leapt off the listings and slapped us in the face. Threatened, we had no choice but to big up , back in Belfast after a mammoth UK tour to properly launch their second album, Easy Meat.
Johnny Black, local rock pin-up and lead singer of the band, told us….
'If you don't go, you're missing the best night of the year. are playing before us - we love those guys! And we've a little bit of a special treat planned as well, which I'm not going to divulge just now….'
Finely tuned after a bunch of shows in the last couple of weeks and hungry for what's expected to be a big crowd on their own stomping ground, Johnny may well be right about that whole 'night of the year' stuff….
Lafaro play The Limelight this Thursday, with support from The Bonnevilles.
