Welcome to this weeks That New Band Smell, our weekly roundup of three of the freshest, most exciting bands to peep their head over the musical horizon of the Northern Irish music scene. For your consideration:

'Woods' is a genre weaving delicacy that is down beat, experimental glitchy electronica with pop hooks and a beautifully unique vocal.

A blockbuster chorus, a guitar riff that scales every fret (perhaps more) of the guitar and richter scale registering drums beats. What more do you want in a rock band?

Until This Day formed six months ago and hit the tarmac running. The Belfast four piece have racked up over 30 notches on the old gig post and have already written and released their debut EP. Sighting influences from Paramore to Elliot Smith this is very much a band on the emotional side of the rock spectrum. ‘Don’t Cherish’ is a superiorly crafted piece of emo pop.
