*Tip of the hat* Phil(y) Taggart here, welcome to That New Band Smell. A stinking, pungent pile of blossoming cherub faced musical treats taking their first little baby steps onto the Across The Line playlist. Here are our three picks for this week.

**

Major Grave is a Dublin producer who paints the nastiest rhythms over the filthiest of Grime instrumentals. For a full scope of what he, and the 'Standard Crew' are up to, check out their blog. -

House music from Cookstown via Portugal (naturally). He's been DJ'n since 2006 and producing from 2008. He's shared the stages with ATL Dance's (RIP) Paul Hamill (RIP to ATL Dance not Paul Hamill, he is still very much alive… we hope) and has uploaded a varying showcase of what he is about on his web page. It's very much crescendo and early hours club music.

It's moments like hearing this 'Birds to Die' track why I love the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing Uploader. Out of nowhere, as if like magic a little gem like this surfs into your life. She is 21 year old Amy Rose Esdale, she is currently finishing a performing arts degree and it really shows in her music. Her songs are essentially updated pop, the sort Lilly Allen used to make, done with less of the London lip and more of a theatrical twist. Her first EP, also called 'Birds to Die', will be out soon. It's early doors for this new artist but its enough to have ATL very interested.
