Good friend of Across the Line, Gary Lightbody has been awarded ‘Freedom of the Borough’ by Ards and North Down Borough Council.
With the likes of the Ward Park gigs, advocating mental health awareness with his frank and honest story, charity work, and fitting in a bit of Snow Patrolling, we are particularly excited about the prospect of Gary walking his newly acquired sheep down Main Street Bangor to graze, a right and privilege he now has bestowed on him from years gone by.
All joking aside, this is one of the highest honours councils can award, and we are chuffed for one of Northern Ireland’s greatest musical ambassadors.
