In our humble opinion, we’d guess that there’s plenty of Northern Irish musicians who could use an extra few pounds in their pocket to further and develop their career. Call us psychic.

And, in a handy coincidence, the PRS Foundation has partnered with the Arts Council NI and Invest NI to offer development opportunities to musicians from Northern Ireland.

Grants of between £5,000 – £15,000 are available through the for bespoke development, things like touring, recording, and marketing. Previous beneficiaries include Anna Meredith, Years & Years, Novelist, Public Service Broadcasting, and Bugzy Malone.

‘Export ready’ artists from Northern Ireland can now apply for financial support, of up to £5,000, through the , to travel to and perform at, music events including, SXSW, WOMEX, Folk Alliance, Classical:NEXT, Eurosonic, JazzAhead, Reeperbahn Festival, and Canadian Music Week. The ISF can support costs for international travel, accommodation and visas for artists invited to perform at an industry event.

The International Showcase Fund is open for applications to artists that have already been invited to SXSW until 23rd November.
