Not happy with being literally everywhere, now you can hold a little bit of ‘Sheeran’ in your hands.
Ed Sheeran has teamed up with guitar maker Lowden, based in Downpatrick, to ‘inspire a new generation of musicians’ with his new range of guitars.
Sheeran is one of the artists who have commented on the apparent decline in young people pursuing guitar driven music saying “There are fewer guitar bands and fewer artists using guitars now, and not as many kids picking up guitars. That is something I would like to change”
Beautiful as they are, you wouldn’t suggest a Lowden guitar as a ‘starter’ guitar. If you asked your ma for one, she’d tell you ‘away and jump’ but we salute anyone who wants to put more music into the world, so go Ed!
