Joan Jett once said “I don’t give a Damn about my reputation. That’s living in the past, it’s a new generation.” An attitude The Oh Yeah Centre in Belfast shares and with it an announcement of the 4th annual 'Women’s Work' programme, which this year is a celebration of Women in music. Over 4 days in June, events will cover podcasting, Irish Hip Hop, activism and mental health awareness. It will also feature talks and show cases from authors and musicians including Geraldine Quigley, Hannah Peel, Gemma Bradley Wynona Bleach and more.
Also you should try and catch the Joan Jett story ‘Bad Reputation’, which is well worth trying to see if you haven’t already.
So here is an opportunity to learn from the past, celebrate the now and move forward while on the shoulders of the woman in music who continue to rock our worlds.


Women’s Work take’s place in the Oh Yeah Music Centre, Belfast 5 – 9th June.
