Conor Edgar - 5.4

He Says: “The track is based on poly-rhythm and I drew influence from producers such as Oscar Mulero, Exium, Dave Clarke & AnD to name a few.  I wanted to set a dark atmosphere, adding to the tension by staying away from the usual 4 to the floor. I instead kept the kick broken and distorted, with dark pads focusing on a diminished chord to fill out the background.  My voice is pitched down to resemble demonic belches. To create this track I used a Micro Korg, Reason and my own voice, all arranged and mixed in Pro Tools.”

We Say: “It’s rare we feature such dark and dirty techno - but this is irresistible. Made for sweaty rooms in the underground, 5.4 provoked an unprecedented period of ‘tops off’ at ATL HQ. This is brutal in a good way.
