I'm wondering if the other 'High Achievers' are on there for this month or if they are the former 'Pupil of the Month'. Mr Swan said that Christa used to be a grade A student and if the pics are in order I count her being SotM about 8 months ago. Is this a clue as to when she became a werewolf. That it was less than 8 months ago?

Yeah I think when Crista finds out Adam is going to be in a hell of a lot of trouble but this does back up the point that she was a good student so I don't think that we should be surprised that she was a "Pupil of the month" since she was a good student so volenteer work doesn't seem to be a big surprise

I noticed that she has her sleeves pushed up and she is quite happy looking even though it is a picture so I think this was before she was scratched

Well its nice to see that Christa's trouble making paid off. However i dont think she will be to happy with Adam though.

There are 9 pictures then Danny's on the far left. If I were doing it I would put the more recent ones at the bottom so I wouldn't have to constantly move ALL of the picture on the next month so I think that it may be 2 (or 3 depending on how you look at it) months ago that she was a PotM but is you think they arrange it the other way then it would be about 8 (or 9) months ago so it depends on how you look at it.

Firstly, in the trailer, the clip where Chista is transforming, she is wearing a blue shirt. If we find the episode where ishe is wearing blue, that's when she'll transform.
I still think there was more than one person involved in the killing of matt an seein Danny back in the picture, it could be.

8 - I think she may have transformed once but I doubt twice since she is still really confused about the whole thing but she has accepted that Adam is a vampire but denying that she is a werewolf and in that picture she has sleeve pushed up so it was taken before she was scratched

So since in the picture sleeves are pushed up it was taken before the scratches and if she has only transformed once then it would make a lot more sense that she is uncertain of things if it was twice then she wouldn't be AS confused.

7, Weekoony_BH: Maybe it does go from the bottom.

What we're missing though is what term this is taking place in. I read that it was filmed last autumn so that's why the weather's so autumn. But as we know in Briton that's no indicator. But why I'm wondering about this is would they start anew in Sept with the PotM or would they just carry on from the year before? Do we have to count the Summer holidays which would add another month.

Maybe Christa was the last PotM before summer term ended and she got transformed during the summer holidays. George took a while to heal and I think that Christa would have had to as well, even if she healed quicker than he did. At least if it was in the summer holidays she wouldn't have missed school. Just come back grumpy which most put down to a bad breakup.

And that's just wild guessing now and is probably wide of the mark but I had to put this theory forward.

10 - That does make sense since kids around that age assume everything is to do with a relationship and if it was during the holidays then yeah you're right no-one would notice with the exception of the parents (which is something to think about we've seen both Adam's and Matt's but not Crista's and we don't know how they would react if their daughter went missing for a night) but would they count the previous term in the next terms PotM? Something to ponder.

9, Weekoony_BH: Yeah, I agree. I think it leaves more room for her denial if she'd only tranformed once. After transforming twice it would make it harder for her to be in denial. I guess she's in that stage of she knows deep down it's true but if nobody else knows about it then there's a chance it's not.

11 - I didn't think of her parents. If she was a model student chances are she didn't go out much either, at least not stay out all night without telling her parents. And what's been mentioned of her ex it's almost as if she's only ever had one boyfriend, and I don't think her parents would be too happy with her staying over at his house for the night. Unless she lied and said she was staying with one of her girlfriends, but who would that be? And will they get introduced at some point because they'd bound to be annoyed that Christa cut them out of her life.

My thoughts have wandered again, darn it. lol.

There's just so much we don't know about Christa and I hope we get a little light shed on her past soon.

13 - I don't think your thoughts have wandered since what you have said is all relavent and should be considered since if she had regular friends then she would be pulled up by them if she suddenly started to ignore them, her parents would be concerned if she suddenly disappeared for a night and didn't come back home until the afternoon covered in dirt. If she was a straight A student and her grades started to decline then her parents would notice infact everyone would notice.

So clearly there isn't enough about Crista that we know know about.

I think Christa is much more aware of her condition that what she lets on. She seems to just not want to talk about it, maybe she heard stories of how werewolves were treated by vampires in the past.
And she seems like a very strong willed person, maybe she doesnt like this condition that makes her menacing, yet vulnerable and unable to control herself.

On a different note, does anyone else see these 3 taking over the main cast of being human after the end of this series?

the person at the top next to danny was given the pupil of the month award for

"achieving grade eight on the piano".

Typically I couldnt get a glimpse for what Christas award was for.

The question is, are the pupils pictured just recent high achievers who also did well but didnt get pupil of the month? If so christa is a VERY new WW. Personally I dont think she is THAT new.

OR

are they former pupils of the month? which would put christa at either 6 or 8 months ago (depending whether it goes left to right horizontally or whether it is vertically counted).

Whenever she was attacked I still think has to do with the ex boyfriend. I'm still hoping he turns out to be Tom from BH to provide another tie in with the main show.

The 6mo ago for pupil of the month would tie in nicely too with Christa being POM in July '10, attacked during the summer hols (along with breaking up with the ex - same person i think), and then back to school in her new greasy haired, layer gal, "self harming", guise in September.

As for staying out all night, come on, she is 16/17 (year 12), therefore she is likely to have a bit more freedom, especially over the summer holidays. As a good student her parents are likely to have trusted her to make her own decisions too.

following a hunch i had a look at the lunar calendar.

The full moon for feb was 18th (8.35pm), so its fairly safe to assume that the programme isnt following a "real time" calendar. If it had been then Matts dissapearance could have been ruled out as a WW attack, as he dissapeared the day before the full moon in January.

Matt dissapeared on a Friday (and the date his mums article was posted was wed 26th Jan). The last full moon to fall on a Friday was May 2010.

Anyway although it doesnt tell us anything new, it does confirm that the programme isnt following a "real" timeline.

@18 BH hasn't followed the actual lunar calendar at all well so I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I really believe that that picture of Crista was taken before she was changed because she looks a completely different person, staged or not, if you pause it where you can see the whole picture or near enough you can see several detail some more obvious that others:
1. hair is tied back
2. sleeves are pushed up
3. hair is not greasy
4. she seems a lot brighter even though she is supposed to be smiling for a picture

Something I noticed when someone mentioned the thing about Crista transforming in the trailer that she is wearing a blue top, I noticed that she isn't wearing her long jacket too. What she was wearing seemed a little lighter so when you see her wearing something different expect to see some wolf I think.

I personally think 2 months but after reading all the theories it might just be 6 months but she would have to be really good at keeping her true feelings and thought to herself if she is in THAT much denial or at least showing it if it was that long ago.

17, I'd like tell you a story of two sisters. The eldest was a quiet stay at home study kind of girl, the youngest was boys, boys, boys. Now the parents worried about the eldest even at 20 if she didn't ring to say she was staying out the night because she always did. The younger sister always stayed out and never phoned to say she ws staying out unless it was one o'clock in the morning and so the parents didn't worry so much if she didn't phone in.

The point I'm trying to make is that it depends on the kid and also on the parents. If Christa's parents are strict whether she is 7 or 17 if she's still under their roof they'd keep tabs on her. Also they'd take note of a change in her behaviour.

Although I have to agree with your deductions in 18 with the lunar cycle. Perhaps this will lay to rest the wolf kill theory which given the time of day I never gave much thought to anyway.

Weekoony I think you're right the pic was taken before Christa was a W/W.

24 - I am 14 and I rarely go out so yeah it makes sense that the parents want them to phone them regularly if they were staying out especially if they are a straight A student BUT something came to mind my ex's sister who is only 17 and she lives on her own or at least without the parents so she is only 17 just the same as Crista and she lives without her parents so if Crista is the same then she may live independantly and so doesn't need to check up on the parents everytime she goes out (the girl im talking about is also a good student in school)

26 - Good point. Maybe Christa lives alone. If she decided she'd had enough of her parents and had the means to support herself while continuing her education then she may have taken it. Especially if it means sneaking out of the house once a month. And when I was younger I did know a 17 year old who'd moved out on her own while still staying in school so I guess it's possible.

In episode one of Becoming Human the same area is shown (when Christa was narrating) and there are different notices on the notice board. The photo, i think we all agree, was taken before she became a WW, so it could have been from ages ago and just put up recently. Whether her achievement was from a while ago or very recently we would not be able to tell.

Also on the subject of the parents - Christa says in episode three when explaining about her scars that her parents 'dont understand her'. This would make me think that she does live with her parents, just doesnt get on with them? That or she could have been making it up as an excuse, but to make her explanation plausable she probably would have been telling the truth.

30 - A lot of people think that she is only hidding the fact that she knows what she is and she is only hidding it so she could be lying about the parents just as a cover up OR it is the reason she would move out

Another note on the moving out. If she moved out during the summer it would be a good excuse or is she moved out just after she was scratched then it would be a perfect opertunity to move out and she could think of a good excuse.

Is anyone wandering why Adam is even bothering with school, hes never going to look old enough for a job, and people might notice how he always looks the same...

If you ask me Christa's parents are probably professionals with very little time on their hands for their daughter so she is probably given free reign to an extent. My evidence is a bit classist, Christa is well spoken and had been (before becoming a WW) a grade A student,and is very bright whereas some of the other kids at school; Danny and Matt are a bit more common and even Brandy who is the offspring of thugs, albeit thugs with money. That leads me to think that her parents are probably busy during the day and out socialising at night. Which gives Christa the time and freedom to do more than a lot of her peers. So, this being said, coming home filthy after a transformation would go unnoticed.

34. yep tiny bit classist :L how well spoken you are just depends on where you grew up or what accent your parents have really, i'm wellspoken and working class. I think there's defninately something in the theory though, she seems mature and able to take care of herself so she could be used to being on her own.

Interesting clip, but struggling to see anything else we can get out of it other than it will be before Christa was 'turned'. She is very shy about her scratches so it would be pretty unlikely that she would pose happily for a photo with sleeves rolled up as she appears to be in this photo after she became a werewolf... even though we don't actually get to see her lower arms. She's wearing a jumper which doesn't seem to have a top under it so I would guess it was taken during spring months as it would be too cold for a short-sleeved top but too warm for an additional layer to be worn. Which brings us to around May.

Ok folks, having watched all the episodes again i'm gonna go out on limb and sugest what i think happened to Matt.

Christa did it! But not as a werewolf.

Why? Ok here are the facts.

By Matts own admission he's been watching Christa for 3 years. Suggesting that he knew she was a werewolf.

He's really good at art. Who drew the Scooby Doo's in the toilet?

Maybe he witnessed a transformation and has left a clue. Scooby Doo = clue. And what is Scooby Doo? A big dog!

I think he knows what she is. He saw her transforming. Look at the trailer, she's on the gym hall floor! She chased him and he's gone to his usual hiding place after a spot of peeping tom, the toilet. Possibly slipped and banged his head on the cistern and has then drowned in the toilet bowl.

It's pretty obvious both of them are in denial, she about being a WW and he about how he died. Would Christa remember chasing Matt if she was in mid-transformation? While she may not have killed him directly she had a direct influence on it. Also the events leading up to his death would be hazy to him, just like Annies death.

Also in the trailer you see Matt in a white t-shirt, not the clothes he died in. It's obviously a flashback and maybe not the first time he's witnessed Christa transforming. Would Matt admit the truth about Christa? He's in love with her. More denial.

In next weeks episode Christa is reading a note written by Matt. In which you hear him say, 'Now you know the truth'.

The more i think about it the more it makes sense!

Personally, I think your thoughts on the Scooby Doo as a clue were ingenious. I would never have seen that coming. Also, you know in the scene when they're checking the bog. You sort of see Matt gasp, and they ask what it is and he says 'nothing'. Well, I think he knows/knew/remembered something :3

I don't believe Christa killed him, even in mid-trasnformation. It doesn't seem like the style of the writers, and there'd be many loopholes, such as she couldn't have been transforming in school because-

A. Who would be that stupid?
B. Transformations start at 8pm, surely the school would be empty?

Then again, she did transform in the school gym at one point. Eh, I just don't think it was her. But your theory is much better than the rest I've read about. XD

Like i said it could have been caused indirectly by Matt witnessing the very transformation in the gym hall.
Judging on the detention teachers lax attitude gaining re-entry to the school after hours might not be too difficult and where better to transform but an empty or supposedly empty school?

I definitely think i'm onto something with the Scooby Doo drawings, they're there for a reason. But for what?

We'll just have to wait and see. But i'm no good at waiting, i want to know now! ;)

I was thinking. Everyone asuming that finding out the murderer of Matt will let him pass over but maybe it isn't that. Take Gilbert from the first season. For him to pass over he needed to fall in love. Maybe the reason Matt is still here is not because he needs to find his murderer but that he needs to kiss Christa.

Until Matt`s body is found things aren`t about to become much clearer.Half way through and the killer(s) could be absolutely anybody.

BigBadDog i think you have a point on the whole scooby doo thing but i doubt christa killed matt. for one thing why would matt say 'now you know the truth'. if she had killed him then she would have known and it wouldn't be about how he loves her because she knows that too. i think we should all expect a huge secret of matt's to come out next programme instead.
maybe he has always known she was a WW or maybe it's something to do with his dad. (there hasn't been much about his dad yet and it seems only his mum who been looking for him, doing the posters and internet plee etc.)
also if christa killed matt then she wouldn't have tried to stop adam killing brady because then the mystery would be over and she wouldnt have to worry.

I really really don't think Christa killed Matt, I doubt she would have taken him following her around school so calmly (even if annoyed) if she was the one who killed him and hid the body. And I guess the body MUST have been hidden or it would have been found by now.

I think 43 may be right and all this 'chasing' the killer is a distraction from what's actually keeping Matt here. All the while he's leading the others on a man-hunt, he gets to spend time with Christa. And maybe it's Christa that can send him to the other side when/if he finally lets go of his feelings towards her.

I hardly think that Matts unrequited love for Christa is keeping here,although it could be Scooby snacks.

So pleased you spotted him aswell, I thought i was seeing things, him and the slightly older kids being beaten up by younger kids too.

When you look at the other episodes then the other suspects all appear in them, which leads me to think we have already seen our killer, we just dont know who he/she is yet (more ammo for team caretaker i suppose).

Just to add to the did Christa do it?

She can't of done it as a werewolf as it was the wrong time of day. So if she did it as a human she would remember, but in episode 1 she thought everyone could see Matt and was shocked to discover that she could see ghosts.
She also accepted he was a ghost quite quickly so i would say she was getting more used to being a werewolf, so the photo in the clip is more likely to be 6/8 months ago rather than 2.

Ive been looking at people who crop up in most videos (certainly every episode anyway).

3 - short chunky kid - younger, still in school uniform

I was looking for a possible Steve McKenna, but I cant seem to find a likely suspect yet. There isnt anyone who fits my imagination of what steve would look like. I see him as a bit of a geek, incredibly neat, loner, and a bit weedy... noone seems to fit that bill for me.

Any other regulars Ive missed?

53- I think the Janitor could be Steve Mckenna, as i can't see him being a very popular fellow either..

BigBadDog - I think there's definately something in the Scooby Doo thing. It probably has some deeper symbolism, and he seems pretty impressed with his own art abilities so the fact that he pointed out how good it was does lead us to believe that it was his...

and I'd think that what was keeping him here was something to do with his love for Christa, it must be involved somehow if she was the 'reason he lived' for years then it's likely.

But he's gone missing. We know he's dead, but the body hasn't been found and it definately wasn't natural causes. Christa may be part of his unfinished business but there's more to it I think.

Several things that have been bothering me with some of these theories

1. Matt did not discover the scratches until he was peeping on them and he has been following her for the past 3 years because he loved her not because he knew what she is since she was scratched approx. 8 months ago at the most.
2. Just because you come from a working class family doesn't mean that you can't be well spoken.
3. People that are generally ignored by their parents don't behave well (just a little thought)
4. The mid-transformation thing. George remembered what was happening inbetween while transforming when he was going to kill Herrick and he remembers Nina being there but not scratching her because he didn't realise but he knew he pushed her back so I doubt it was Crista otherwise she would rememeber seeing him.

The scoobydoo thing does probably have something significant (didnt someone say that if the janitor done it it would be a bit too scoobydoo) about it and pperhaps when he said "oh" maybe he remembered that he drowned but kept it quiet so he could get his revenge on Danny Curtis.

Another note on Crista's parents. I think that she was well looked after and they were just a regular working class family and her parents could see that she was very independent and could look after herself so if she asked to move out they would let her without much of an arguement.

ok theres a fair bit of talk about her parents have we ever heard them mentioned? do we know they are even alive? its a long shot i no but if something happened to Crista's parents she may be guilty that could be a possible reason for the deep denial?

yh i thought about that after iu posted my comment buty then i thought that wat she said to adam as an excuse for having the scars because of her hole denial thing so i didnt know if that was just made up :/

It may be that the photos are stocked from photo-day at the start of the year... That's what they did in my school and 6th form.

In that case:

1) Christa wasn't a WW at the start of the school year (september...ish)

2) Due to Christa's denial, I think she has either not turned yet or only turned once and dismissed it... anymore than that and I think the destruction and damage might twig even the most sarcastic of teenage werewolfs...

i think Christa's going to transform in episode 6 because they're looking in the gym in that episode and on the trailer when it shows the clip of her transforming if you look at the floor its gym floor and it has a line going across it thats probably part of a tennis court or something so I hope it is the next episode I want to see her transform!
