WAKE UP!

Raj&Pablo | 12:16 UK time, Thursday, 10 September 2009

It's been a mad couple of weeks - the aftermath of the filmi strike is upon us with an unprecedented 12 films being released in Bolly La La Land.Ìý I think we're secretly happy that not all of them made the cut to get released here in good ol' Blighty!Ìý

The shows have been exhilarating - Manisha Koirala and Zeenat Aman (no, we are still not over finally speaking to the reclusive icon Zeenat!).Ìý Karan Johar texted his apologies for not being able to join us while we were reviewing the music ofÌýWake Up SidÌý(phew - it's not very good...but you might disagree, let us know!)Ìý

Abbas Tyrewalla sent us an exclusive invite to join him, John Abraham and his wife PakhiÌýon the sets of his new movie shooting in London.Ìý Pakhi debuts opposite John and is wonderful.Ìý We have to say we were impressed at the intensity of focus on the sets.Ìý We can't reveal much at the moment but watch this space and tune into Love Bollywood this weekend to find out more...
Ìý

We're speaking to Rani Mukherjee and Shahid Kapoor on the phone later today. We're hoping we might see Rani in person while she is en route to the Toronto Film Festival, she may well make a whistle stop and say a Bolly 'hi, bye' in London.Ìý Dil Bole Haddipa is being shown at Toronto, as is Priyanka's What's Your Rashee.Ìý All fingers are crossed for Rani - this could be a big make or break for her since unveiling her stunning new look.

Away from all the filmi fun,Ìý Pablo finally found some decent builders for his flat - HURRAH!Ìý And on a sad note both ROMULUS and REMUS, Raj's Boston Ferns have died!!Ìý Raj thinks he must have overplayed the soundtrack of Wake Up Sid and they finally gave up hope!!
