Laugh your spots off with Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 2’s Stand Up For Pudsey

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 2 is hosting an evening of comedy for Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need.

Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 2’s broadcasting legend Steve Wright has announced a star-studded evening of live comedy and music in aid of this year’s Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need appeal. The event, Stand Up For Pudsey, is going to take place on Monday 22 October at the Prince Edward Theatre in London’s West End.

A glittering array of top comedians including Jo Brand,ÌýRhod Gilbert and Al Murray, and Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 2’s very own Jon Holmes will ensure the night is full of big belly laughs. There will also be live music on the night provided by an exciting line-up including Scouting For Girls, Michael Kiwanuka, Civil Wars and the cast of Jersey Boys – you can purchase your tickets for the night from the .

But that’s not all – in the week leading up to the special night a host of comedy talent including Ed Byrne and Greg Davies will be hijacking Steve Wright’s afternoon show on Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 2 while Steve gets a much-deserved holiday.

Obviously Stand Up For Pudsey is only one of many exciting events that Ö÷²¥´óÐã Radio 2 will be hosting for this year’s campaign. On Sunday 28 October, Sir Terry Wogan will once again host a very special Weekend Wogan show live from the Savoy Theatre in London. Expect showbiz guests and brilliant live music from some of the top acts around.

And on Monday 29 October Ken Bruce will be launching the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need version of his incredibly popular music quiz PopMaster. So if you fancy flexing your pop music muscles and proving your pop music prowess whilst raising money for Pudsey make sure you listen to find out how to enter.

The brilliant Chris Evans will be doing amazing things on his Breakfast Show to make sure the fundraising doesn’t stop. Through-out the week of the appeal Chris will be hosting a series of fantastic Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need auctions – these very exclusive events, including the now famous Magnificent Seven supercar rally and places at his extremely popular Dine & Disco extravaganza will go under the hammer to the highest bidders. Last November listeners to the Breakfast Show raised a staggering £1.5 million, and this year Chris is determined to go even higher - so make sure you dig very deep!

And finally on the day of the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need Appeal (Friday 16 November, if you didn’t know) Radio 2 will be dusting off its Ö÷²¥´óÐã Children in Need Jukebox and playing twelve hours of music that has been requested by the listeners. As well as some great music a whole host of famous faces will be dropping by the studios to lend their support to the cause.
