Nobody told me Aled talks in his sleep!

Jocelin | 19:03 UK time, Friday, 9 June 2006

JocelinWe've only been here 24 hours and already I'm seeing a new side to someone. When we rolled up to our camp last night they gave us such a welcome. They had dinner prepared and the chalets had been spring cleaned for the occasion but they weren't expecting Aled and I to be sharing a room!

The two of us are living with the competition winners Nick and Matt. When the 4 of us opened our chalet we weren't expecting to see kids bunk beds and a double bed decked out in pink with mirrors on the head board! We couldn't decided who should go where. Aled was interested in the double room for a brief moment because it had a row of wardrobes on the back wall but the thought of us having to share a bed was too much for both of us so we opted for the bunks. This then threw up a fairly large discussion of who should get the bottom bed. We both wanted it (me because I've fallen off the top before, and being so short it was a long fall and Aled because he just did!). For most of the evening Aled looked like he had it in the bag but several drinks and a sing-along later he was putty in my hands so he went on top.

I thought that was to be the hardest part of us living together but I was soon proved wrong when he woke me up at 2am with his sleep talking. Now I know he snores after our experience in the Big Brother house but I wasn't aware that he actually has a conversation with someone when he's asleep. It totally freaked me out, I nearly smacked my head on the bunk (perhaps the top option would have been safer). He also uses a shower gel that makes him smell of pepper crisps and likes to tell me horror stories in the dark. It's been a sleepless 24 hours but he's made me laugh so much I couldn't ask for a better room mate. ( I reserve the right to change my opinion tomorrow!)

Whilst Dave seems to be keeping one chalet awake with his snoring, and other kept awake by Aled's sleep talking, it's all very civillised in here.

Mark (our guide to Germany and invaluable translator) is currently sleeping in the lounge which means I lucked out and now have a room to myself.

Rachel and Carrie seem ok sharing and haven't complained about any snoring from either myself or Mark.

Let's hope it continues in the same way...

Heya Joce! :)
If Aled does that again you should get the mic and get a recording of him muttering in his sleep, like you all did with Dave's snoring in the Big Bruv house. It could be amusing to air on the show :)

Joce, always choose the top bunk! It's the best! Plus, last summer, I ended up on the bottom bunk and my best mate woke me up by dropping her alarm clock on my arm in the morning!

Glad you are having a good time, the chalet sounds hilarious!

I managed to see the game between Ecuador and Poland on TV and hear it in my car radio. Ecuador just proved to the world that many times a pundit is only human. [Translation: Pundits can make mistakes].

After an uneventful 0 to 0, Ecuador scored a goal in the first half of the game and then proceeded to score another goal in the second half. Ecuador finished its first game with a 2 to 0 over Poland.

Now for tomorrow with England against Paraguay.
