I've more or less been doing nothing worth mentioning, but eh. My life's been really bland today. I don't care. I've just been letting everything happen without me these days. That's how it is.

My mind is like a bunch of nothing, but I guess it doesn't bother me. I haven't been up to anything recently. I've pretty much been doing nothing to speak of.

I got an 1/2 price copy of Chris's book (in the sales) would have paid full price before Christmas if lines were single space instead of double spaced. (he could have squeezed his momoirs into a pocket book - tight git).

Anyway I have started to read the book in bed at night (reading a book usually helps me fall to sleep), now though my husband is getting annoyed now as I keep giggling and waking him up, and I can't sleep for laughing.. Chris's book is a great read, and please tell him I would gladly pay full price for it. (maybe on second thoughts I should go and buy some sleeping pills now).

Hello Internet Buddies and Radio DJs!
I woke up this morning at approximately 5:29 I sat up in my bed which is ajacant to my blue wall opposite a south facing window, and as I looked through the double glazing I noticed that it had been raining quite heavily, I was quite suprised as yesterdays weather forecast had not mentioned that there would be rain. I lay down for about 15 to 20 minutes and listened to my podmachine which was also quite exciting! I got up and had a shower washing my hair with shampoo twice and then leaving in the conditiner. The rest of my day was filled with other equally thrilling activities such as defrosting the freezer and walking to my local supermarket to buy 2 pints of semi skimmed milk.
I will be sure to wrrite again soon blog bad boys

Dave, I know exactly what your going through. I'm in a similar situation, how can I judge whether im going to need a long or short sleeved shirt for the day, at 6am, its madness. Dom needs to start letting us know these kind of facts during his weather reports.

Well today I woke up at 7.30ish, was gonna stay in bed but my son, Ellis said I should get up, so I did.

Went downstairs and put the kettle on and the radio, obviously Radio1, let my rabbit, Molly, out in the garden, made me and Ellis a coffee (only 9 and he likes coffee!!!)

then went upstairs to start my shower, got a radio that is shower proof!! so can still listen to Chris and co, was gonna enter the comp to go to somewhere south but entry form was toooooooo long and Chris may think i was stalking him!! anyway shower really doing my head in, have to turn it up to hot then down to warm just to get it to right temp, whats that all about??

got ready for work etc!!! and now sat at my desk eating hot bacon and cheese baguette, is DUBS!! oh shit just realised i got 2cr on radio at work and not radio1, oh well!!

anyway have good weekend down south, Bournemouth much better so aint jealous!!!

I was drinking fanta orange at the time and laughed so hard, it came out my nose - I do think you should be aware that such stupidity (albeit hilarious) can have dangerous consequences - I could have been badly injured...and what a waste of fanta!!

I really only read this after hearing Chris slating it on air. He made you sound really boring and geeky, but I did notice that the only blog he's posted is about two lines, so who's he to talk.

I'm a little worried about you since you seem to be doing all your own laundry and cooking right now. Is the missus away from home right now, or what? Mind you, at least you know the difference between a dark load and a light one. Last time I was ill I had to get my five year old to do it for me as my man doesn't know one end of the machine from the other.

Well imagine all those students that might take just a little too much, and after finishing their paper find it impossible to get their head down, for a few hours kip before class.

I get up at a reasonable hour so I should be able to judge the weather and know what's suitable to wear. However, the air-con in work is cranked up so high it's like the arctic. You need 2 sets of clothes every day - shorts and T-shirt for outside and thermal underwear for inside.

Hi! I have a couple of ideas which could help solve your trouser problem:
1)Bring an opposite pair of trousers into work with you in case it gets colder/hotter later on. For example, if you go into work wearing jeans because its a bit nippy when you wake up, then bring a pair of shorts with you in case it gets hotter later.
2)Watch the weather forecast the day before.

Searching back into the depths of my memory I recall a younger Dave on a concrete tennis court in the Midlands (not that Midlands, but the Hong Kong Midlands) running around with a bizzarly dainty style. Having never experienced anyone capable of sprinting without ever putting their heals down on the ground I do wonder how on earth you will cope with 13 long, long miles. How much more motivation does one need other than realising the full capability of the foot, when applied to the action of running, so that your poor tippy toes do not suffer excessive bruising along the way?

2 months training for a half marathon - good to see you are taking it seriously...NOT... No, fair play, please blog your training sessions - distances/times etc... would be good to see the progess. Remmeber to eat a smal meal about 2 hours before you run and stay hydrated. For extra motivation, download the track from my url and stick it on yer i pod - will shave literally nanoseconds off your pb. Good luch comedy.

I think a diary on a computer is really very clever!

The only problem with doing a dark load in the evening in this weather is that your jeans won't dry in time and if you use a tumble dryer they feel funny and sometimes shrink a bit which is really rubbish.

Great blog Dave, i am training for the robin hood half marathon in September so i know how you feel.

However could you answer a hotly debated issue in our office which is, "are you still married?" the girls i work with are getting very concerned as you don't mention your wife anymore intensified by the fact that you are now having take away for your Sunday dinner having been town the pub!

Does blog stand for boring-log of events in our mundane day.
Every weekday (06:30), my day starts very well with 'our friends' on Radio1. Fortunately I can also listen online at work.......... and as you say it goes downhill from around 10:30am............. till around 4pm it does perk up with Scott Mills (poor imitation of Mr Moyles& friends).

I like your blog Dave, it gave me something to do when I got into work other than the obvious. Thanks! This is thre first time I've seen pictures of many of you, Dave and Dom don't look anything like how I imagined them...not in a bad way mind, just different. Seems much less boring when chris was reading out.

Coincidentally I'm going to have spaghetti bolognaise later, in fact i have a pre-cooked one in my freezer tightly sealed in a tuppaware lunchbox. Personally it is one of my favourite of the pasta dishes and generally provides you with lots of energy, especially with alot of training that you need to do Dave!
Big fan of Saxondale. Coogan is genius loads of innuendo, a cleverly written masterpiece. anyway thats my comment that took five minutes of company time to put together. peace.

Fantastic effort from someone who clearly can't be bothered. If you apply that effort to the Great North Run you are in serious trouble. Stick to the day job!

Well I really...rually fully understand you, mate...I mean ... the problem with getting up early in the morning and having to think what to put on :-). I was the host of a radio show several years ago on a local radio station and well i had the same problem every morning - having to think about more than one thing at such an early hour is "damn difficult" :-)) having in mind that you are really sleepy :-)
And...well...about the whole Blog idea...it's not too bad really :-))...keep on writing, guys...it's funny reading thigs like that from time to time :-)...especially when you are at work :-)

Blogster isn't really a new term... It's common in geek world and means a person who writes on their blogs regularly, so you've used it in the wrong context.
But you can change the meanings of the word if you want to, since it's not actually English and such.

I have the same problem Dave - I get up at 5 30 to go swimming and always end up bringing the wrong clothes to change into! Why not buy a pair of those trousers which you can unzip the bottoms and then they are shorts. Problem solved!

Dave, I've got the same problem with the clothes issue in the morning. I get up at 5.30 every morning to go swimming (stupid o'clock I know for some people) and have the dilemma of what to bring to change into.
Solution to your problem - get a pair of those trousers which you can upzip the bottoms and then you've got trousers for the colder mornings and then shorts for the warmer days!
