Seeing as Chris hasn鈥檛 written a blog since the 9th of September we all felt it was his turn to write one today.

Unfortunately, as The Saviour himself points out, he鈥檚 too busy focusing on staying alive following his near death experience yesterday to write a blog (and in any case, it鈥檚 the eve of Project Shush so he needs to start queing outside his local bookstore). Chris tried to dictate his blog to me as he ran out of the building but I don鈥檛 have a Dictaphone, I can鈥檛 write shorthand and Chris can talk pretty fast. So here (to the best of my memory) is what Chris did yesterday...

Hi I鈥檓 Chris Moyles. I鈥檓 great. Yesterday was a busy day but then if often is, it鈥檚 like that when you鈥檙e a megastar like me. I left Radio 1 Headquarters early yesterday feeling pretty good (Aled is such a great producer, I love working with him as it鈥檚 so refreshing to work around someone who doesn鈥檛 have an ego). I then went home to prepare for my appearance on The Paul O鈥橤rady Show. Paul鈥檚 great.

It was at home that I started to feel short of breath and pains started to develop in my chest. Being the mega-star that I am I phoned my chauffeur鈥 Giles and asked him to hurry me to the nearest privately funded Hospital (preferably one with a swimming pool and German channels in the bedroom). [Aled: I admit this bit was a bit hazy, it was either that or Hackney Hospital]

After a short wait and I got the all-clear from the doctors, I phoned (Radio 1鈥檚 Controller) and told him it was fine for James King to stand down as I will, afterall be in tomorrow morning. (Bad luck James, so close, maybe next time). The Doctors begged me to go home and put my feet up acknowledging that I just work too hard, but you know me, I鈥檓 not one to offend someone so I can鈥檛 let my mate Paul O鈥橤rady down especially as Project Shush is out this week, do you KNOW how many housewives watch that show?

This morning was yet another good show. But then how couldn鈥檛 it be. I鈥檓 on it! Quite tiring though, not only did I have the usual attention from Carrie and Jo Whiley but I had Corinne (Bailey Rae) getting all stroppy with me for not giving her enough of my loving! (Calm down girls, there鈥檚 enough of me to go around). In fact, between you and me it was embarrassing how much Corinne BEGGED me to go with her on her private jet to New York. But, as I said to her 鈥渓ove, I just don鈥檛 have the time! When you鈥檙e a mega-star like I am you鈥檒l realise you can鈥檛 just drop everything at a moment鈥檚 notice鈥 especially when there鈥檚 project shush to promote.

Oh well. If you鈥檇 like to hear her embarrass herself as she threw herself towards me in the interview you can go here to listen again.

Right, gotto go. Mega-star things to do. Plus, 鈥檚 in tomorrow so need to read his new book, or at least flick through the pictures. Ha! Bring out his own book! Who鈥檇 sell out and do something like that? *

i'm just writing this to tell you how much i enjoy the show. i have never listened to radio that much before and certainly not in the mornings as i would usually be asleep. now i have changed my job i am in the car from 6:45 am to 8:30 am. you people have me laughing all the way down the A614 to nottingham everyday. the show is fab. by the way aled are you ok after being trapped in the sofa. although i have been thinking about it all day and chuckeling to myself x

The thing about todays show is, I had a premonition about what todays tedious link would be, I was thinking about it around half 7ish, IMAGINE if you for SOME REASON thought that John Lennon would be the link?? How freaky would it feel when it was announced at 9?? Seriously, I was gobsmacked, me and Dave are telepathic, what a weird coincidence otherwise, even chris was pleasently surprised. Could you tell Dave that today I knew where the link went, to my head and back to the studio again..
