The morning after the Brits

Post categories:

Comedy Dave | 12:48 UK time, Thursday, 15 February 2007

Dear Blogsters, welcome to the very sleepy world of the Chris Moyles production office here at the headquarters of mighty . At the time of writing it's the day after the , and everybody's feeling a bit shattered and worn out.

Sadly, this isn't from dancing on the ceiling at one of the many post awards glitzy britzy parties, but more from a lack of sleep after a long day on the cutting edge of showbusiness.

Our mission was to tempt as many of the floundering celebrities as we could into our radio lair, with the offer of biscuits and friendship, and trap them for a couple of minutes for a series of three probing questions.

We needed to find out how they were, whether they were enjoying their night, and which secret showbiz party they were attending, and we managed to speak to pretty much everyone, except Orson (because we thought the guy from the band with the baseball hat looked like a bit of a n**)

All in all then it was a successful campaign, and we returned triumphant with our booty of rough interviews which were edited of bad language and inane chuff for your listening pleasure by Ant and Kate who were here until all hours. We all hope you liked them, and like us are looking forward already to the Brit Awards 2008.

Other than that, things are pretty quiet here on the shopfloor. Everybody's a bit yawny so it looks like time to get some shut eye.

In the meantime, hope you all have a nice day and I'm going to leave you with a trio of photos of Aerosmith legend and rock god Steven Tyler with various members of our radio family. In there should be Chris, me, (dreadful picture) former executive producer Uncle Ferg and the one and only Hoop Dogg. See if you can work out who's who?

Until then

Kind Thoughts
Dave.

That's not an awful picture! You look quite good in that Dave! Not like James May at all!

I loved all the BRITs talk, especially when I found out who drove Chris there. Lucky old so and so!

Comedy songs are neither big nor clever. It's Benny Hill at his worst; it's every sad duo with an acoustic guitar at the Edinburgh festival singing current pop songs with politically satirical lyrics. It's not comedy and it's not music. When it's about farting it's as not funny as it gets. Even Wogan's funnier than that. Please don't do it again.

I thought the Brits were pretty good this year,i've not seen it the last few years but managed to catch it this time round.I thought Oasis were brilliant apart from Liam's incoherant babble when he accepted their award. He continues to make all us manc's look like oaf's...thank god for Noel.Your coverage on the guests was really entertaining, especially Dave commenting on Steven Tyler's waist!I wanna know what Jake Shears said to you aswell.Hopefully you'll get to do the Live Earth thing too.Keep up the good work everyone.Andy

Is this Live Earth thingy any relation to the 'Global Cool' Live 8-style concert plan recently announced? The one the promotor said, "is about buying time and allowing new energy solutions to swing it," which is what I thought George Bush's policy was.

Apparently, for every £20 ($39) donated, £3 ($5.9) will go to putting on the star-studded Live 8-style concerts.

So there's donating to be done before anybody gets to pee in a beer can and throw it indiscriminately over the heads of philanthropic Franz Ferdinand fans.

We're all doomed.

Anyway, thanks for playing Bodyrockers this morning. I hate that song, so I turned over and Wogan was playing a Dr John and Rickie Lee Jones duet. Hooray.

Dave,

I've just seen Moyles on Supermarket sweep. Having looked at the videos on chrismoyles.net, does the big man only have one t-shirt? it seems to be the only one that he wears when he is on the telly? I wonder if he will be wearing it on hotel babylon later.....?

Look at Chris's big fake laugh. I bet he's making some sad old joke about, "If I walked that way I'd need an operation!" Or something.

So I'm looking thinking, "Who does Dave remind me of in that pic?" Then it came to me: James May out of Top Gear. No, seriously, like his younger brother, but without the posh voice. Or maybe with a posh voice put on to impress Steven Tyler.
