Day three and everything's fine

Dear Friends,

Welcome to my Dave blog live from day three of the Chris Moyles Rallyoke for Comic Relief 2007. It’s currently 6.30pm Sunday evening and we’ve just arrived in Liverpool...

As you’ll know from all of the impressive and substantial visual content currently available at Radio 1 Online, we’ve already rocked a phat one in Bournemouth and Swansea and tonight we’re about to showcase our vocal acrobatics to the fine people of Liverpool. The total is well over the £200,000 mark so far which is incredible, and it’s our mission to keep pushing that Comic Relief cash register as high as we possibly can over the coming week.

So far the mood is good, and while some of the singing has been bad, we’re helping to build wells and hospitals and stuff in this country and in Africa, so we’d like to thank everybody for their fantastic generosity so far.

I’d love to stay and ramble a bit more and tell you what I’d had for my tea and what colour underpants I’m wearing, but unfortunately our busy showbiz schedule requires me to report for entertainment duty at tonight’s venue in about 20 minutes, so I ‘m going to have to get a move on.

No doubt Aled or someone will be back to update you shortly with some insightful post-Karaoke insight for those that like to get their updates online.

So thanks again for all your support and I’ll be back next time.

Until then

Kind Thoughts

Dave.

Hi Dave,

I think the Handbags & Gladrags rendition is superb. It's moving! And I discover a fact that you've probably known about but still decided to mention, which is that the words on the gong mean "treasure or fortune" & "come" respectively. Now that's pretty true to the spirit of raising money for comic relief!

Keep up the good work!

Swansea rocked on Saturday night, Aled, kissed my daughter in law now she wont stop going on about it, just by impressing him with her Welsh when she's English, he's sooo easy.
