Carrie
Hello Bloggers and Bloggettes..Its been a while so figured I would offer up some material for the internet super highway..At the moment my so called poshness seems to provide much amusement on the show - so am setting myself up nicely for more abuse..shetland2.jpg
As some of you may know I went to Badminton Horse Trials on Saturday. Part of the deal was that I had to give out the prizes for the Sheltand Grand National - the Curtain Raiser before the serious stuff began..But I'm telling you it should be an olympic sport..

Basically all these little shetlands go belting round a course with little jumps like the Grand National..Then there's a final straight to the finish..We had 2 heats and a final..It was so hilarious...The first heat went round and half the riders totally missed the corner for the finish!! Its like watching people on motorbikes taking a bend as loads of little jodpured up legs tried to steer them round! The little riders are so sweet too in their proper silks and goggles so its pretty serious stuff..I was dying to put a bet on..
They really do take their life into their own hands too - emotional stuff as one took a tumble into the final furlong!!!
I was supposed to be judging the finish but I got so excited I got the first two and then completely forgot to watch the rest!! So thanks all for totally making my morning and the crowd loved it too.

Here's me with the proud winner...the little pony actually a nutter who was desperate to do it all again!!

So once the adrenaline had passed through it was off to watch the adults! Managed to get a wicked view of my favourite bit of the cross country course - the lake - its totally mental and those riders really do have balls of steel to take that on..Look at how far they have to drop!!

Out of that then they have to clear a couple of massive Mistubishi pick up trucks parked back to back!! (other pick ups are available)..

Anyway once I'd said hello to Wills and Harry it was time to get on it in proper horsey style - well it wouldn't be Badders without a little Pimms O'Clock now would it..(other alcohol is available)

Tally ho and all that!!

Lots of love

Carrie

Bravo on adding a bit of posh to Moyles and co. I get exactly the same at wok - nicknames ranging from his Lordhsip to The Posh Twat! It's all good fun though. Glad to hear you made in down here for Badminton, and got involved with it all it has to offer. If ever you fancy going for a ride, just shout!!

Badders - oh dear, is this the start of giving everything posh a dodgy name. Are you off to Wimbers in July or perhaps to Lorders to watch the cricket?

Hi Carrie,
Good little round up of Badders there.
I was there myself taking in the shops early before the xc started and heard mayhem coming from the main arena. We went to see what was going down and discovered you in the middle of a lot of shetland madness.
Good day in all. Lovely weather, luxurious picnic by the lake, and a cool beer.
Didn't spot wills or harry tho, think you're making that one up.
Then in the eve we headed to the world famous tunnel inn at coates. Was a pretty awesome party on there, im suprised you didnt get down there, you should have.
Anyway, until next year . . .

Hi Carrie

Your voice sounds so sexy I just had to see what you look like...and posh totty you certainly are !! (Thats a compliment by the way ! ... )

Badminton Horse Trials ??...My only experience on a horse was hurtling towards (crossing) the A1 in Northumberland (at 30mph ??) on a horse ... seeing my whole life flash before me at much the same speed as the heavy traffic I was about to collide with....somehow (not sure how as my eyes were firmly shut and I was deep in prayer) ... we managed to miss everything..or they did us, and my horse was then happy as the stables were only a half mile ahead - not that he slowed down, instead deciding it was far better to run along the edge under the trees battering me of the low branches...anyway...Great piccy ... How do you look in Jodpers ;-)
