Surprise Surprise It's Moyles Here

Hello Blog readers. It’s your friendly radio host Chris Moyles here.

Now as much as I LOVE the idea of these blogs, in fact I am quite insistent that the team update them daily, I myself can never be bothered to write them. It’s laziness sure, but I do have other things to do with my time, such as drinking tea and playing X-Box. Which by the way I haven’t played for a while as my internet access at home is a bit dodgy so I’ve been missing my geeky game play recently.

You may read these occasionally or you may be one of those people that checks it every day to keep yourself up to date with what’s going in the lives of the team. You may wonder if there is a rota for which staff member writes for what day, or is it just when somebody has something interesting to say. Sadly, it doesn’t work like this, and I’m here today to expose the shocking truth about the Chris Moyles Show Blog.

Each morning after the radio show finishes, the studio becomes full of people for our morning meeting. All the team are there, as well as press(!), online and any others that have something to add. During the meeting, we also work out who is going to write the blog for that day. Regular as clock work, I will try and palm in onto somebody else, as I can’t be bothered, and sometimes we will nominate somebody, which they can’t say NO to. Brilliant hey? One of my tricks is to shout ‘Dominic’ before the question has even been asked!

However, I do seem to have put off writing a blog for such a long time that I thought today should be the day to get it out of the way.

So there you have it. An insight into the wonderful blog world of The Chris Moyles Show.

Until next time, please, don’t have nightmares. Goodnight.

ever leave the breakfast show as i rely on you to wake me up in a good mood. Love Beckie xxxx

Guitar Talk. On Friday you were taking the mick out of Rachel's guitar work! Wild Willy Barrett did a track on Call of the Wild in which he saws A guitar in half whilst playing it. Worth a listen for the laugh you get when the track finally fades to the sound of him smashing it to bits!

Do you actually read these comments, Chris? I expect not, in the nicest possible way. I'm typing this in Mexico (having moved from UK last year), listening to your show on-line. Your blog, the laziness, rung a chord with my own writing! Have you ever been totally focused, or did you achieve success by just being you?

Oi Moylsey.

I find it worrying you're still hooked on the X-box.
Surely you've discovered the wonderful world on Nintendo Wii.
With every out-of-hours activity known to man you need never leave the comfort of your living room again.
Have some mates round, crack open some wife-beater and bowl to your hearts content without the usual chav-culture polluting your vision.
Their overbites offend me greatly.

My husband marc wants to challenge you to a few drinks with him. put it this way i've watched him put 28 cans of Fosters away still be standing. So if your ever in the Haverhill area there's a challenge for you.

Shame to here that your internet is playing up. But why don't you take your 360 into work and have a play when the songs are playing.

Been listening to the show and I actually prefer listening to the talking than the music as you seem to play the same songs as the day before.

Chris, you have my gamertag so i'm waiting for the friend request. lol

Dear Chris,
even by your standards that was a boring blog entry. preferred the video blog when you were naked! (not for the reasons you might hope, it was just a bit of amusement).
Blogs are over-rated, it's a glorified form of texting, you know how you have some people (mostly scary ones) who send you an essay, instead of a text.
I think blogs are an outlet for attention seekers, those people with active lives give up after a while. (Enjoy your Xbox!)
Anyway I am entertained by your show most mornings, glad you booted David Gest and Jordan off, that was more fun than having them on.
Hope to be on Car Park Catchphrase one day.

Chris, as Nick Ross as been axed (not literally, that would be horrific), I think you should officially adopt his 'don't have nightmares' catchphrase. It's a great thing to say when closing a show, although it might be a bit weird for the breakfast show (I suppose it would only apply to nightshift workers). You could adapt it of course. How about 'Don't eat cheese before bedtime?'.

Anyway, following the theme tune frenzy this moring, how about getting the public behind a campaign to get Fraggle Rock made into a movie? Everyone would love it! Twenty-somethings like yourself would go, and they could take their kids along too! Why don't you set up a text vote to rate the public's reaction to it, and send it to the Henson company.

Anyway enough from me. Take care, and until next time, don't eat cheese before bedtime.
(You're already warming to the idea, I can tell).

Under the title of this post is the name of the post's author, Aled. Not sure what to think, does the absence of Girls Aloud news mean it is indeed Chris writing, or is this the start of the slow subtle migration to the Aled Jones show following Chris's contract negotiations?

To be honest, if no one has anything to say then don't update the blog. Some entries (such as yours) just don't seem worth it, any why should they? You've just spent 3 hours entertaining us (most of which I've slept through) - why use the blog unless you've something to say?

I think you need to figure out what you want to use the blog for rather than just filling it out "because you have to have a blog".

Why not stick to big news that people may have missed. With some opinion/reflection where appropriate (for example Chris could have expanded on his comments about Trevor McDonald's joke)

and while I'm complaining please provide a full RSS feed.

OOh I cant believe that you have let us into all the deep dark secrets of your show. I would have thought you should have saved them and sold them to Hello or OK for a vast sum of money. You are obviously not being advised properly.
You could have continued the theme of your show and told us some jokes, you know gags - you could have used some that you have been texted, which by the way are very funny.
By the way does anyone from your show read this feedback on the Blogs?
Luv ya. Pauline
