Sheds, tyres and Mel B

Dom | 18:18 UK time, Wednesday, 15 October 2008

Hello Blogger loggers,

Hope you're well. sorry for the slightly later than advertised blog entry. This is down to an afternoon spent looking for shed roofs and air pumps at garages. Our shed has a leak and i need to pretend to be a confident DIY man and repair it. However i don't know much about sheds and therefore haven't got a clue what i'm looking for.

As far as the tyres bit goes, i need to inflate the tyres on the new car i've just bought cos its pulling to the left a bit. I don't know what's causing it as i'm equally crap with cars as i am with sheds. I haven't even looked under the bonnet yet. I'm guessing there is an engine there but i haven't actually seen it wth my own eyes yet.

Anyhoo, Mel B came in like a whirlwind this morning. I like her a lot. It's like a small explosion goes off every time she comes in. I sat next to her and got quite an eyefull when she lifted her leg to show everyone her new shoes. Blimey - what a Wednesday.

So - if you know how to stick a shed roof on then please let me know and if you know why my car's pulling to the left, again please contact me at the usual address,

thanks a billion.

enjoy the football - may all the home nations triumph (Scotland aren't playing but if they were they'd be included in warm wishes)

bye

Fantastic show this morning guys, I laughed so much I thought that I might actually wet myself! Dom in answer to your car problem, get your local garage to check the tracking on your car, that might be what is making it veer to the left. In regard to the leaking shed roof, you need to reclad it with roofing felt, available from all good DIY stores. Keep up the brilliant work, and can we have more mini Miley Cyrus please(perhaps reading the news)? Really very very funny! That's it I think. Take care. Charlie B.

Yeah Dom, agree with Charlie, sounds like she needs a "wheel alignment" done mate.
Just go to your local garage or even the place where the "Fitters" can't be bettered and say--
"Can you check the alignment for me, I think she's running a bit toe-out"
They'll be dead impressed and think you actually know what you're talking about...it should only take about 30 mins.

Don't over/under inflate the tyres, the correct pressures should be on a sticker in one of the door edges or pillars, or the handbook if you got one.

    Happy motoring-- :-)

Dom - you really should read the book I am reading - the one I keep banging on about - you and the team fit it perfectly.
first there was the cooking and now the sheds and the DIY

"What is the deal with men and their sheds? The special place sheds have in mens hearts is a centuries old pheononmon. Its not just British men who like to potter around in wooden boxes with roofs. In Austraila for example, the Mens Shed movement is booming and groups of men cram themselves into sheds all over the country to hammer nails into things and talk about their feelings."

    or indeed DIY

"it seems that watching half an hour of Nick Knowles fannying about with pieces of MDF makes men think that they are fully able to rewire a house in one afternoon or fit a new kitchen during half time. In fact according to a survey, one in five men claimed they could do a better job than the professionals!!"

From Moan About Men by Juliana Foster - oh im loving it!
