I think jack killed archie as in the lastest episode archie said jack could have the bust of the queen vic and thats what archie was killed with although everyone has a good motive glad hes gone. larry has played him well his gavin and stacey character michael is a far cry from archie.

Hmn.... I would love it to be Bradley, but he's far too sweet to do that. I have a funny feeling it was Sam. If you watch closely, you can see the reflection of blonde hair and a white coat in the globe before you see the Queen Victoria bust fall downwards. So it's either Peggy or Sam. But I'd wager my money on Sam.

What an awesome episode. I think the person who killed Archie Mitchell is Ben.Because he was the one person who wasn't shown he was only shown once and he was silent the whole night so the possibility could have been him. It can't be Sam, Peggy, Ronnie, Bradley, Ian, Jack or Phil or even Roxy and it can't also be Stacey cause she was outside the whole night. And Ryan was with Whitney and the family so not Ryan and not Janine she has already been to jail. So the person who most definitely killed Archie is Ben it has to been him or even Grant i wouldn't be surprised if they brought him back but thats a bit obvious my money is still on Ben who killed Archie.

My money is on Sam, Sam is the only one that was never in the line up for murder and was shocked to see her return in the episode, She is already looking at a stretch inside for being involved in the murder of Den, so she has nothing to loose, and after all she is a Mitchell and knows how to handle herself, It would be a perfect storyline for her to be the killer as she will have to stand trial from Dens murder at somepoint, so it be great viewing having Sam down as a serieal killer, on the run wanted for two deaths, Sam Mitchell in the Vic with the bust.

All the Christmas episode needed was Brian Rix to appear and drop his trousers - or for Christopher Biggins to shout out 'Look out he's behind you'. I can't decide whether it was a farce or a pantomime - what a load of rubbish.

The killer - (apart from the scriptwriters) is Sam who then tries to blame Peggy - (it is in the New Year TV programme guides currently on sale.......

Has anyone thought about bradley i mean he just found out that archie sexually abused the women he loves and he just disapeared didnt he.
Although saying that i reckon it could be anyone of them because they all have very good reason for killiing him.

I think it was Bradley, would be quite unexpected but rather interesting to see that the nice and shy Bradders would be driven to murder because of what has happened to his one true love, Stacey.

i think ronnie done it because if u was watching closely when archie was looking into the globe, u could see blonde hair. But what an episode, really funny what happened 2 janine because she had it coming 2 her thinking she's all good. And about time ricky and bianca got back together. Also cant believe bradley's leaving soon poor stacey she's finally happy!!

I think it'd be great if it turned out ROXY had actually done it! She always fell soft with him, be about time she stepped up & looked out for someone other than herself!

Something people don't realise is Yes they all have a motive but the murder weapon was the queen statue.
This rules out Phil (Crowbar) and Janine (Sharp object (I didn't see it)). This now closes it to Jack, Ian, Peggy, Ronnie, Sam and Bradley as far as i remember. Now for some, a clear motive or evidence will show, Ian (Laptop), Peggy (divorce papers), Bradley (Blood). Which means that his daughter or niece may have done it without being a immediate suspect. But when seeing everyone before the actual murder, did anyone spot Jack?
My final realisation is personality. Using a weapon knowing it would take just one blow to kill means that the killer may have been unable to kill archie by mere personal strength and also makes you think the way the person did it was cowardly, doing it behind his back. 1 name fits that being Mr Ian Beale. Personally, it is between Jack and Ian, also they are the only two who i don't like enough to be innocent. Any Questions?

I think it was Bradley for 3 reasons. 1, because he is leaving in February when the murderer is revealed. 2, because Eastenders have said he is leaving as part of a big storyline. And 3, it is always the person you least expect.

Hmmm, interesting theories! The bust came down on Archie's head from quite a height so I think that rules Peggy and Ben out (doubt they could lift it that high?)

Best bet would seem to be Jack (how heavy is that bust - must have fractured Archie's skull surely?) and I bet Bradley's hand hurt too much from the blows he gave him earlier; Ronnie would probably be too weak after losing her baby (but angry!) though she's usually 'folded' under dad's pressure...

He disappeared this time last year and might have overheard Stacey tell Bradley that Archie forced her against her will. He followed Bradley into the Vic and finished off the job. He still blames Archie for losing Roxy.

Besides, its not Eastenders style for one of the above to kill Archie....Grant is the killer! he is on the square as the mysterious santa! ho ho ho..

I just watched the "EastEnders Revealed" episode about "Who Killed Archie Mitchell".
I noticed that the narrator was George Lamb, son of Larry Lamb the actor who plays Archie Mitchell.
I think EastEnders is brilliant. I an American who has been living in the UK for two years and have become quite a fan of EastEnders. But the choice of George as narrator illustrates something that I think is very wrong with the Ö÷²¥´óÐã and UK culture: Nepotism.
Is George Lamb really the best person you could find to be the programme's narrator? No one else was available? No one else in all of the UK could have been a better choice? No one else have a better connection to the show?
While I don't want to be overly critical of George Lamb, it is clear that he was able to get "breaks" and have doors opened for him in the entertainment industry solely because he is the son of a well-known actor.
Afterall, how much talent does it take to wear skinny jeans and frost your hair?
I'm disappointed that EastEnders would advance George Lamb's nepotistic career in this fashion.
To bring my point home, would you ever hire George Lamb to be a regular character on EastEnders? I think not.
Please keep up the otherwise brilliant work!

I think Tracey did it. She's not madly enamoured by the Mitchells as such (remember how Phil treated her when he had his last alcoholic storyline), but would hate to work for Janine! Apart from all that, isn't it high time she had a storyline anyway? How many years has she served in the Vic without a storyline.. of any kind? It's not Roxy or Ronnie; Not Phil or Jack and Not Peggy. The good money should be on Tracey. I'd see her locked up as she's never been much of an asset to the show in any case!!

I think it was Janine. At first when I saw Ian creepin about the cellar I thought of how desparate he was to keep this from Jane, BUT Janine has a bit of a violent past record. In any case well done writers... I love a good who dunnit, and I think this rates right up there with Dm.Christie. I really loved watching how you placed so many suspects right up to the minute...WELL DONE!!!!

I could probably rule out some of them :Janine (it wouldnt be such a shock and she did actually look like she had feelings for him) Ronnie as she is the first one to be arrested - which in a whodunnit never seems to be the case, I dont think peggy would have done it as i think she had feelings too :P

I think its going to be someone we least expect which to me the key suspects would then be : Ben, Tracey, Bradley (as its not in his characteristics) and possibly ryan :S??

it could of been anyone but the two people that i think it could be are either, Jack or Ian.
At first ian went into the pub then got chucked out the pub by archie without any think,but he had those black lather gloves on. But then after archie's death we see that ian fianlly gets home but with archies laptop, and with those leather gloves still on.

and for jack well when roxy finds out archie is dead, when she ran to him he didnt really seem bothered. so before he calls the police he pulls out a plastic black bag and looks at it for a couple of seconds, but we don't know whats inside it, but then the second time we see that bag is when jack tries to hide is some where in his kitchen. But what is in that plactic bag. Maybe the weapon,or maybe the gloves he used,well we will never know.

I dont think bradley is capable of kiling him becuase he aint that typeof person to do that, because when stacy and max had an affair bradley didnt do anything.

The killer could be Phil OR peggy? but which one???...

For me personally i think it could be one of Archie's ex Glenda i think that's her name because i believe someone has kept in touch with her and they've been telling what Archie has been up to in Albert Square, for example Danielle's death,Ronnie pain and Suffering from Archie, and last and not least the splitting of the Mitchell family. Also she comes into the square for the funeral and the introduction of Ronnie and Roxy's secret brother. But however, i also believe it could be tracy or the secret brother as Archie left his mum stranded, heavily pregnant and disowned him before birth.

The Media wants us to focus on the main characters which are shown in the video above, but really in my opinion i think it was Sean Slater from last Christmas. He must have found out that Amy is his baby and he is the father to Roxy's child...and as Archie warned Sean before Christmas 2008, that he will not let him be part of the family..So He Put Up For A Fake DNA...! Sean may have concluded of Archie being the cause of Christmas 2008..and came to kill him. Think about it people, in 2008 Archie ruined Seans Christmas, in 2009 He Ruins Archie's Christmas...People it all makes sense..!!!

everyone it has to be ian. because remember when archie said the recording was in the laptop ian tried to get the laptop but archie grabbed him took him downstairs and kicked him out.but on the next episode on saturday 26 december you see that ian has got the laptop hidden in his jacket the question is how did he get it?

It Was Kinda Sad Cuz even Thoou i Personally Couldnt stand him & i Wnted him Dead But the Way he Died I thou Was Totally Sad!!
But Ithink is Either Jack Or Sam Who Killed Him Cuz they r the once dat People Wnt look at that much & Cuz Jack Had Sommin!!!

I could think three people,
1. Jack,cos he asked ronnie again and again what did archie said...i guess he wanted to make sure that archie didn't say anything abt murderer....after that only he told he is gng to call police.....
2. Sam,not bcos of blonde hair and white coat which hav been seen by many ppl in the globe,but cos of her no reaction towards the news....i cudn't see blonde hair or white coat in the globe hair....i think it was just reflection of vic in the globe.....
3. Ian might have done this or he might not ;-) When he left the carol group,he didn't wear gloves (if u see keenly)....but when he returned wid laptop he was wearing gloves and he hold the laptop by giving support from his left hand....whereas he walked freely while he left carol....this clearly shows that he took the laptop after he left the carol,i.e. after bradley left the pub(and bradley was the last person with whom we seen archie alive)....so after bradley Ian might hv entered pub and killed Archie,took laptop,left vic thru other door,then ronnie might hv come in and seen Archie....Or we can also think in this way that Ian might hv entered thru other door while Archie was being killed....Ian may not be aware of this or he may hav seen him in the blood.....but for sure,incident might hv happened b/w the time bradley left and when Ian entered or left vic........

It seemed that someone pushed the statue frm the table,if he/she was a strong person,they cud've lifted the statue and topped Archie's head....if that is the case,it wud be very forceful.....but it seemed that statue was falling down frm the table slowly....but well i don't knw.....
My other guesses are Ben and Jean slater....Ben was missing from the carol group while roxy told Archie is dead....Even they didn't show Ben after that at all.....(wid hev or wid shirly or wid Phil)...No...The reasons why it may be Jean slater are she might hv overheard abt stacey's pregnancy,but she didn't seem to be like that when they went for carol....but when everyone was in her house and talking abt Archie's murder,she seemed to be very nervous and her hands were shivering,while giving biscuits to Patrick.........this is just a wild guess....but who knows.....

So many suspects! But also many to rule out! Peggy couldn't have done it because she loves Archie. Phill is a bully but in fact he is not a killer! Ian is always looking out for number one and is only after one thing; getting rid of the recording on cd and laptop. As for Ronnie she hated Archie but kill him, no. Ronnie loved him too much and Jack wouldn't burn his hands. Janine however is capable of murder, we all know that from the past, remember Barry Evans? For me there is only one suspect; Sam Mitchell! She had both motive and opportunity! And I bet that while Sam killed Archie Ian was upstairs in the livingroom looking for the recording! I think the outcome will be that Peggy figures out that Sam did it and that she will confess to the murder to protect Sam from going to jail, because she is a good and loving mother who will do anything for her children.
