Six out of ten trending topics on Twitter says it all really. That was an amazing episode, really well acted by everyone! I hope Ronnie doesn't go to prison (though if she does, I hope it's the same one as Bianca!) And I hope Greg and Tanya stay together and Max doesn't mess it all up! I like Max and Vanessa, and I like Tanya and Greg.

Praise the Lord(as Dot would say!) this silly and unbelievable babyswap nonsense is now over. Get some new writers and inject some laughs (and tears) into it. Sorry but Easters has just been through the worst storyline in its history-Hooray and yayyyy its over!!!!!!!!

Well im glad kat finally got baby tommy back i think its such a sick and twisted thing what ronnie done how some1 could do such a thing its wrong and im glad its now over

I thought that was an amazing episode. Fantastic and really moving acting from Sam Womack, Jessie Wallace, Shane Ritchie and Scott Maslan. I liked the way they brought it full circle with Ronnie walking over the Vic once more - sort of re-tracing her steps from the night she took the baby. Also, Jo Joyner and Jake Wood were wonderful in the hospital scenes! Totally 10 out of 10 for a FANTASTIC episode!! Well done EE!!!

I thought tonight's episode was amazing very intense and I really hope Tanya ditches Greg and gets back together with Max because you can tell she still is deeply in love with him.
I am so so so so so so so so happy thewhole baby swap thing is over it is very sad the way it all happened.
I also hope Ronnie does not go to prison cos sure she stole Tommy but you could tell she was scared and not in her right mind she should get a happy ending for once.

I think that deserved a Julia's theme haha. Absolutely outstanding! Sam, Scott, Jessie, Shane, Jo, Jake! All the top actors and actresses used in this episode, and what a moving job they done. Very emotional scenes. I'm normally a fool for getting a little bit teary when watching EastEnders, and this one nearly had me. It's a shame that there wasn't that much action with Ronnie near the end. But over all I'd say thats one hell of a storyline! Job welldone to everyone who put effort into the Soap.

Im so glad the baby swap is over! Just thinking how could Ronnie see Kat every day looking at her and seeing how unhappy she is and not do anything about it. I was hoping it would be a little more dramatic like Kat slapping Ronnie or summin like that LOL but im glad its ended and i cant wait for Mondays episode so see the whole aftermath of it all! :D

I tend to agree with Gwerger - it was such a relief to have Ronny give back Tommy to Cath. It was a very cruel and frustrating storyline, but I hope the ongoing story will be much better to take and actually enjoy! Let Ronny be dealt with by the law and therapist and give her chance to explain to Jack. Of course the DNA test will need to be quick and not another cliff-hanger. Cath will need therapy and possibly Alfie, Jack and maybe even Michael as he undoubtedly will want to have something to do with his natural son. Jack will be a favourite uncle to Tommy I imagine too. Just let Cat stay happily with Alfie and stop giving him such a hard time! If Jack hadn't gone to work away when the birth of James was near, perhaps none of this would have happened.

Yes it was really well acted, but this whole baby swap storyline has been weak and unhelpfully sinister. After being a lifelong EE fan, I very nearly left you for The Street on this storyline. Come on EE - you are so good at dealing with real storylines in a powerful and realistic way, like the recent Whitney story for example, or Stacey's mental health struggle, but you have not done yourselves proud on this one. And I just know Tanya is going to go for Max which will be a big mistake of course. I think I am getting fed up!

i was on the egde of my seat i'ld heard max was going to die ? the saddness over ronnie and kat is overwhelming such good acting you can tell kat wont be able to bond with tommy after greiving for him so long and what about michael the daddy he'l surely click what with the way ronnie has been acting towards him and poor jack poor poor jack this will be awfull for him well what a wicked episode can't wait for monday well bbc this is why i no longer watch corrie

Wow EastEnders was amazing man :) ! , I love tanya she is soo funny and I love her in candy cabs lol , she kissed max :O , and ronnie told kat . Kat played her part soo well looked like she was going to kill ronnie

i am not being rude but -WHAT!!!!! that was the most stupidist episode ever it was out of charecter she isnt like that even thogh shes sad she would never do that she would give her the baby cry talk then run away she would never call the police on her self

well tonights episode was brilliant had a tear in my eye when ronnie handed over the baby.kat and alfie deserve the happiness that the baby will bring and ronnie she needs locked up in a phycatric ward .kat (jessie wallace)is a fantastic actress and makes it look so reall the story line dragged on a bit but when it finnaly came out tonight it was great the way it was done....

Overall the episode was alrite but to be honest I was expecting it to be mind blowing and not so predictable with ronnie just going into the police car, I was expecting ronnie to make a big scene in front of everyone;not her asking for a private chat with kat, I thought she would have blurted it out and Kat would have gave her a punch in the face (because I know I would have) and everyone would be trying to hold back kat or the police dragging Ronnie into the police car and everyone just watching......
It would have been more exciting if am honest,even the hen night on Tuesday was more dramatic!!!!
I mean it was a complete let down,but I am still eastenders No.1 fan!!!!!

Oh my god that was amazing, was sitting on the edge of my seat and its not over yet still got Mondays episode to see when Kat and Alfie finally get Tommy back properly, gonna be a tear jerker i think.

That was a very powerful episode of Eastenders Simon Ashdown is a spectacular writer. Well done to everyone involved the most power acting I have seen in a long time. This is why Eastenders is the number one soap.

It was a good episode, but its not all over yet. Kat has to deal with being a Mum all over again. 3rd time lucky. First it was Zoe, then Tommy, Tommy dead, then Tommy again. Don't panic, I've not gone mad. I've read the soap mags. I won't spoil it for those who haven't read the soap mags.

EastEnders is my life and a truely NO.1 fan for not missing a episode or part of EastEnders.

First of all i just wanted to say well done to the main cast Ronnie, Jack, Kat, Alfie, Max and Tanya what a brilliant night of acting!! you all played the parts so well. I am glad the baby swap storyline has finally come to an end, while it was an uncomfortable storyline to watch at times, it also raised many issues of events which do happen in real life which eastenders storywriters are so good at. It has been really hard to watch Ronnie go through this knowing her history and how desperately she wanted to be a mum, i really hoped she and Jack were going to live happily ever after, but as its eastenders thats impossible. Watching Ronnie hold Danielle in her arms as she died and seeing both Roxy and Sam have babies to her husband would have been enough to push any woman over the edge. The night James died you could see Ronnie was trying to get help, then when she went to the Vic and picked up Tommy she wasn't thinking straight, when she walked across the square to take Tommy back, Jack stopped her in her tracks and just for a second she had everything she ever wanted. Once she said to Jack that was his baby she had to tell lie after lie after lie , so glad its come to an end and people now know and she can get the help that she needs. I hope ronnie will come back one day and have a happy story, wishing Sam the best of luck with her new career:-) I hope Kat and Alfie have the happiness they deserve with their son Tommy

Phew! About time....too much going on in this episode though. I kept thinking she handed the baby back and everyone thinks she is mad and yet no-one thought to check on the baby! Kat and Alfie where just left standing there with the baby. Nice acting from Jessie Wallace though her facial expressions were very expressive during the scenes.

todays eastenders was just so upsetting i feel so sorry for jack he has to let go off tommy and this will be really hard for him

Well what an episode !!!.Great acting however more than a touch of Acorn Antiques crept in !!!.Once Tanya found out about the crash, day suddenly became night .One minute she was yelling that she must get to the hospital in daylight outside the church ,next shot ,day became night when she was in the car!!. Also when she was searching the wards for Max,the extras obviously hadn't been paid much,especially the one playing the female doctor who was standing waiting for her cue and when was given it proceeded to walk like a zombie towards the camera .Shame great episode spoilt by acorn antiques and editing continuity

Just back from long holiday and have spent the night on iplayer catching up on all missed episodes. What a finale to the baby swap storyline! Tonights episode was simply superb, Jessie Wallace at her finest, the look of utter horror on her face...very well acting by all cast...loved it! I want Tanya & Max back together becuase she clearly still loves him deeply...Greg is a little dull for her I think. Excellent acting by all cast as per usual

It stretched the suspension of disbelief a bit far having Max leaving hospital a couple of hours after that crash. A large metal hut ploughed through his side of the car and he just had a few scratches! Is he made of titanium or something?! How does he always come away virtually unscathed from his annual brushes with death?!

i agree that that was a bad story line i just had a baby b4 x-mas and new years i wernt celebrating i was in tears just stairin at the tv gob smacked! i think it wod have bin bad enough if the baby just died thats deep enough but they had 2 take it to far! i fink if ur baby did die the last thing on this earth ud do is wish that apon any1 else! but i bet eastenders have had loads more veiwers since new years! i no i have watched every day waiting 4 it all to cum2 an end! it was about time THATS ONE WAY TO CAPTERVATE THE VIEWERS! i really hope kat can bond wiv her baby but i think she going to have some trouble there x

I complained to Ö÷²¥´óÐã when story first aired. They should have cut the storyline weeks ago. Find new writers. This offended most people I know that watch the program. If this was based on life and you were Kat, how would you react. How long would it take you to come to terms with it. Eastenders two episodes. In life,,,,?

It's 'tenterhooks' a tenterhook being something that was used to stretch cloth in medieval times, so it refers to one's nerves being stretched and frayed. As to the episode, hoorah that Ronnie has finally given back the baby, she has done all the staring in to the middle distance and looking pensive that an audience can stomach and then some, now I imagine she will be doing the same in court and prison scenes for a while, still it is a change of scene at least.

I have never blogged or whatever this is, BUT I am so emotionally battered that I just gotta say to people in Eastenders World THANK GOD and WHAT UTTERLY BRILLIANT PERFORMANCES FROM BOTH STORYLINES. Jessie Wallace and Samantha Womack deserve about a billion awards for every aspect of the last few months and their performances in this climax sent me off the edge of my couch until the words finally left Ronnie's mouth, excruciating GENIUS between both actresses! Jo Joyner and Jake Wood actually light up the small screen! Max and Tanya belong together! I will never forget what Max said to Tanya just before their daughter went and ran him over "You were my girl..." made me cry and thank **** we have as much of a happy ending as we could tonight.............. EASTENDERS is the ONLY SOAP. (and we as the audience deserve an award for endurance as the last few months has been hard god damn work!!) Job done x x

Bad on Tanya kissing Max!!! Jane said it right! Tanya is lucky to have Greg! and Tanya is having lingering feelings for Max??? She has a great relationship with Greg, don't ruin it to be with the man who as Greg says: keeps playing mind games on her!

Todays episode was the best in a long time, but the baby storyline has been dragged out for far too long. The acting was amazing by Tanya in particular. Def. time for some happier storylines!!

it was great how things went but Ronnie handing over little Tommy just like that was a big let-down ..........but I guess there is a lot more to come - Jack is not going to give up his 'James' that easily

we have not had these episodes yet in aussie i fact kat has not had her baby yet .but it all sounds very exciting, can't wait just love eastenders...

OMG!!!! what an epiosiode , it was soo good, shame it wasen't on for an hour! Glad Kat got Tommy back, but i wonder if she atually belived Ronnie? It was kinda funny and sweet when Tanya sniffed Max's tie and started crying, and then Max just walked in :/ :L. I Wonder why ronnie made this face when Jack said " there was nothing you could have done" she was probally thinking about Danielle and little James.

Having lost a baby son I watched with interest. I have to say that Samantha and Jessie were excellent in different ways, people deal with grief in different ways (forgetting about the baby snatching here, but talking about the effect of losing a child) It is such a taboo subject because no-one can bear to discuss it and parents feel isolated. So just on that front well done for exploring how grieving for a child can effect us.

last night was such a brilliant touching episode, Kat should believe that its her baby, because Ronnie has been so off with her lately.. and i did not understand the bit where Abbie saying telling Tanya that Max got taken away and then he walks into the room where Tanya was! i really thought that Sams (Ronnie) acting was outstanding! it will be sad to see her go.. but im happy for Kat and Alfie to start over again xx

In a real life situation you would hope that some-one in Ronnie's position would receive help and counselling and not prison. Anyway, brilliant acting as ever from everyone. What an emotional episode. I can't wait for Monday ! Well done Eastenders my "must not miss" programme.

I'm so upset....I just found out that Ronnie tells Jack to move on and forget her. They split up. The writers are complete a***holes. Breaking Rack up?! I'm really starting too hate Eastenders and I've been watching it since I can remember. I can honestly say I haven't enjoyed an EE storyline since Archies Who Dunnit? Now when I watch EE I keep looking at the clock waiting for it to be over. Rack is my FAVOURITE couple and I really thought everthing would be alright when they got hitched. Then you had to go and ruin it. Shame on you EE writers. Shame. On. You.

I know it's Kat I should probably be feeling sorry for, but I actually feel sorry for Ronnie most! Ronnie has lost three babies/children and has endured abuse from her own father. Kat still has her daughter and now her son back. I really hope that Ronnie gets some happy storylines in the future; I think she deserves that after all that her character has been through. I hope that Max and Tanya get back together! I'm not a big fan of Greg - he's a bit boring if you ask me. I love the chemistry between Max and Tanya. ♥♥♥

Omg seriosuly, Ronnie truely is a moody cow! Shes always mooping around the place in her own little world and comes across as some maniac! Glad Kat and Alfie get the baby back and im also happy Max and Tanya kissed! :))

tbh i didn't like the baby swapping storyline, it was really sad and depressing to some people who has lost a baby, since ronnie's character was about danielle, i think there should be at least a mention of her when ronnie is in prizon or something, and i think they should film a scence when ronnie is in her cell and ronnie had a picture of two of her children, danielle and james and then she says " I love you's and i will never fotget you's" :) because then it would remind people of thats what her character is all about :) .

I am so glad that Kat & Alfie have there Tommy back but I really do feel so sad for Ronnie, that poor woman has no luck, she always ends up losing every thing!!

well well who knew! Whats next then? Max and Tanya...bit predictable that one I think and will get dragged out to death no doubt. Alfie, Kat and new baby (not completely new but hey) and with Michael in that particular mix..can't see that going smoothly. Ronnie is obviously out of it (in more ways than one!) Jack mmm can't see him sticking around for much longer although he may want to sort the poor childs gravestone out. I am happy the story has come to an end, although having lost some great actors because of it wasn't entirely clever. The cast acted their hearts out and deserve a break as do the viewers. Something light hearted and with more of a feel good factor about wouldn't go amiss.Just to mention, Jean is so multifaceted and has me both laughing out loud and shedding a tear a times ..Gillian Wright is a godsend hehe.

I thought myself that this story line went on for to long, Ronnie has left eastenders due to the stress of the storyline and it would not of been easy for Ronnie,Kat,Alfie and Jack to do this storyline, but as part of there contract they have to! Glad kat and alfie have got there baby back but what happens from there?

i thought this past week of soaps was amazing. when i saw max's clothes in the hospital i thought he was a goner. i wonder what Kat is going to be like now that she has tommy back. wowzers

It must be so hard.. They must be so uncertain cause Ronnie was already like she was going mad! They should take him back and be angry at Ronnie for causing all this1 When I was watching the christmas episode I kept saying to myself (as i Had already seen the preview) It could of been prevented but it wasn't anyway I hear Charlies coming back for a breif period of time I wonder what he's been up to in the time he's been away from Walford.. Tanya should totally go back to Max it's like theres a spark between them. But I feel sorry for Venessa it's like Max doesn't really care and is only using her because Tanya's got Greg and he doesn't want to be the loner in this eqaution. It would be awesome,though, if Tanya and Max re-united in love and then Venessa got with Greg...

I really don't see how people can say Ronnie's actions were sick and twisted if you look at the natural world eg Penguins if a female looses her chick she will try and steal another females child because the broody grief is too much. It is a natural nurturing override and the fact she has returned Tommy shows her humanity and conscience have caught up with her natural mothering urges to love and raise something.
You also can't say she's evil because unlike Kat she actually did loose her baby and has had to go through much worse since her grieving has been in private as well as being racked with guilt for what she did and the sheer misery she's brought on another set of parents and the strain she's caused to their relationship.
I am glad Tommy is back but I do think it happened abit too suddenly right at the end of the episode just a quick wrap up for the duff duffs "he's you're baby, I stole him, sorry." It just didn't sit right, the conclusion hardly fits the dramatic situation and sadness of the entire 4months from hell for both women, bad writing not acting both women's performances were emotional.
I feel for Kat and I am very glad she now has Tommy back and I feel for her since bonding with him is going to be very tough but my heart truly goes out to Ronnie in this case because what she did wasn't vindictive it was out of sheer distress.
I also hope Max doesn't get Tanya back, I really don't see what the the balding man has to offer, he had his chance and he messed up royally so he should step aside. Also only 4months ago wasn't he confessing his "It's always been you, I love you." for Stacey, make your mind up writers!
I hope they don't start up an affair on the side as that's how Tanya got with Max in the first place was by being the other woman and frankly I don't think she should do that again or cheat on Greg since she knows how horrid it feels now to be the one that's cheated on so she shouldn't dare wish to bring that pain to Greg and Vanessa.

firstly, i am glad that the baby swap is over because it was just going on and on for ages. Secondly, i think that tanya and max should get back together because greg is not right for her and for their children. they also are a perfect match

Well i would like to say I was actually a bit dissapointed with fridays episode. I thought that yes, it was intense but the way the truth was told was wrong, ronnie left to early. I thought that there should have been more arguing. seeing the situation.
But onto the next thing, I think that kat and alfie will be reunited with tommy but have their doubts, but in the end will realise that its their baby.
For max and tanya I think they shouldn't go back together. But c'mon this is eastenders of course they will! Tanya will probably cheat on Greg with max.
Finnaly for Jack. Poor old Jack. I actually think jack will either become severly depressed and may even commit scuicide because of both his losses (James and Ronnie) Or he may even find someone new (unlikely), or he will leave (most likely).

But Hey, I could be wrong...

This episode was great! I am so glad that the baby swap is over and i hope it all goes well for Kat and Alfie. I don't want to see ronnie go and i dont think that her and jack will get back together.

Eastenders Should of Given Ronnie a Happy Ending, She Deserves it. She's Suffered SO Much and it would of been nice to see her be happy for once! Like seriously her daughter dying because of her dad and then has a miscarriage because of her dad aswell and then her dad dying and then gives birth alone (without jack) then her baby dying and then because of her mental illness she had to look after someone elses baby and get critsised for being depressed and people accusing her of ''not knowing how it feels to lose a child' SHE LOST 3!!! Eastenders are Cruel! Let someone else suffer like the evil ones! Like Janine! If they could give stacey a happy ending why not Ronnie! and not to mention POOR JACK! Such an emotional episode today! :( Going to miss Ronniee! Eastenders have really drained all the life out of her! when she first came she was all happy and fun and now she a mental reck. COME ON EASTENDERS! But it's good to see Kat and Alfie Happy Again. I Love Alfie! :)

what an absolute FANTASTIC episode tonight, the best in many years. I hated this story line in the beginning but i am now just wiping away my final tears of joy and also sadness. Absolute fantastic acting from all actors. They all deserve awards for there convincing performances, you can tell there stories have been clearly researched. This is by far the most moving storyline for a long time kat and alfie clearly deserve to win all awards for their acting i cant stress enough how fantastic they have been to watch.

well tbh i think its rediculouse that we had to wait all that time i am glad its over but i really hope that kat and alfie get back on track but i also hope that ronnie will get help and one day return to the sqaure and sort things out with kat and try to explain her actions i just hope tht there is a happy ending for them both also i hope that wen jack visits ronnie that when she explains things to him they will stay together but i think it will take time. i just hope that eastenders writters dont make a mistake with wot happpens because there has been many comments made because of what they are putting ronnnie and cat through and many people disagree with this...but all in all i have enjoyed watching eastenders recently !!!!

Even tho we had to wail to long for tommy to be back wid his real mummy and daddy its sooooo nice to see it. I hated watching it knowing that she had stole the baby. It was very sad and heart breaking. Very happy now tho cuz thing will hopefully get back to normal with kat and alfie cuz i think there great 2geta.
I hate ronnie for wat she has done and i feel really sorry for jack cuz he didnt no anything about it and watching him give the baby back 2nyt was so upsetting i nearly cried.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I thought Fridays episode was fab. I thought it was really realistic as it was very, very emotional. Great acting from all. Can't wait to see how everything turns out with Ronnie & Jack, Max & Tan and Kat & Alfie!

i think it was brillant were sam (ronnie) told scott (jack) that he not his son and were she gave birth they were going tto leave it longer like a year or two but i think the time shee did was gd or it would of got boring

Feel sooo sorry for Jack I think Ronnie deserves a bit of happieness like adpt one when she gets out of prison Soooo happy for Kat and Alfie Tommy must be confused i wonder if they will tell him what happened when he was younger I think Jack should get a a new more loving woman like Roxy he kissed her so it will work !!!!!

DISAPPOINTING sums up the end of this storyline I know the script writers had to write the story fast etc after stupid people complained but I was expecting half hour of on the edge of your seat drama or even an hour special they should of had Kat got more suspicious that the baby was hers and have her confront Ronnie then for a big argument and fight to happen with Ronnie braking down and confessing not have her just walk in the pub and tell Kat in the hallway what a load of rubbish !!! even tho I'm a big eastenders fan I feel that sometimes on there big story lines that you get let down right at the end of them surely when the writers where making plans of how this storyline was going to come out they could of thought of some think better than this they should of stuck to having it come out this Christmas mind you it probably wouldn't of been much better if they used the same writers.I have to say the acting was grate I don't think its fare on Shane Jessie and SAM etc to get such a crap ending to the story after all the stick they have had to put up with in the press maybe the producers of the show should ask the cast more where they think the story lines should go from time to time,I just hope the next big storyline actually end big

Seeing as we are behind here in South Africa, I was reading through the comments on babyswap. Must say it seems as if it will be a let down to watch, BUT glad this is all over. It was so painful to watch a baby die , and I know it is not real, but all the same it was heart breaking , watching "Kat,Alfie, and Ronnie act this out" Well done to all 3 re acting skills. Just have to wait til next week to see Tommy Moon back home! xx
