I don't want Mercy to go either! I DO want her to get a different hair cut but I like Fatboy and Mercy. They're nice young people for a change not going around looking to cause trouble, not super selfish, they take an interest in Dot, they provide light stories/comic relief. KEEP them. Just pleeeease do something with Mercy's hair.

Janine was brilliant she is played so well I was hoping her and Ryan would get back together but Ryan was being stubborn. Billy and Julies grandchild is going to be great!

Mercy & Fatboy Storyline.
EASTENDERS! You should be disgusted by the Mercy and Fatboy episode that was shown tonight. The storyline is appalling and the outcome terrible, talk about trying to portray some type of inaccurate bad sterotype. The producers should be ashamed. I dont understand what your intentions were with this storyline or what you were trying to portray. A very bad storyline which is watched by millions of families, school children including Nigerians who will have to defend such a bad sterotype portrayed in the program.

@TightPants... How the heck can Ronnie get pregnant by Michael, when they never had sex? Just because he ended up in her bed next to her don't mean they got THAT close! What I don't understand is...how the heck is Afia and Tam homeless? Yusef her father gave them a check so they have enough money to buy or rent that house that Arthur was thinking of getting for him and Mercy. I'm glad Mercy left, Arthur can do so much better than her, even Kim would be better for him. I heard that Amira is coming back, I for sure thought they would be bringing back Shawn Slater - that IS the ONLY person I want to see back on the Square again! PLEASEEEEEEEEEE Bring Shawn Slater back!!!!!!!!!!!! Then hopefully him and Roxy can fall in love again after seeing that he has changed for the better. I was also wondering WHY is it that all the actors & actresses are leaving Eastenders? I don't think it's because they want to try something different, maybe they had it out with Bryan Kirkwood, or maybe their not being paid properly or they don't agree with the writers or something...something is up in order for Stacy, Charlie, Peggy, Pat, Vanessa, Julie, Mercy, Ryan, and so many others to leave Eastenders! Think about it....something is up that is causing them to leave the show....just don't know what it is and we may never find out the truth but it totally SUCKS - some of them have been on the show for ages and now their leaving. How Bizarre is that?!?! Oh yeah...I can't stand Lauren, WHY would she make such a BIG deal out of her Mom and Dad secretly meeting up....it's not like her Mom is meeting up with Ryan, it's her own father for God's sake, she completely has NO RESPECT for her Father and if I was Max, I'd slap her! The old Lauren was soooo much better! I don't blame Ryan for not liking her, she's so immature!!! I'm glad that Kat told Ronnie that she forgives her and I'm so NOT looking forward to Amira coming back if they plan for her to break up Chryed then that would be HORRIBLE and the worst mistake, I hope that when she comes back with Syed's baby, that she breaks down and mentions that she has Cancer and that she only has a few months left to live and that she wants Syed to raise their son/daughter along with Christian. She also lets her father know that she wants nothing more then for Syed and Christian to raise his grandchild and she asks her father to promise that he will make sure he helps support them and promises that he will be a part of his grandchilds life and treat Chryed with respect. Then Syed and Christian agree to let her stay with them while they take care of her up until she passes away. Then when she passes away, her father ends up buying Syed and Christian a house with all the furnishings and baby items already inside and mention that this is what Amira would have wanted. That would be a GR-8 storyline!

A bit of a random question...where can I buy the top that Mercy is wearing in her final episode (12 July)...love it!! Oh and Fatboy is so funny, he has to stay!

It's certainly true that Janine was born to be a millionaire, don't you think!? She fits the role so well :o)

What do you think will happen now that Mercy has gone? Do you think Fatboy will survive?

I have watched eastenders from day one and will not be watching anymore, the story lines are dire cannot understand what the characters are say as they mumble in cockney accents. The new so called actors that are being brought cannot act and they are all screaming at each other, not what I call entertainment, this used to be a good soap but not anymore.

please get janine pregnet that would be a good story line of who done it maybe the father could be ian beal or phil mitchell or syed as he was nice to her in the vic when people made fun of her and you dont have a mix race baby so syed could have a fling with janine that would make syed mums day that would be a good story line of them becoming friends then to end up in bed together so please have a good think about it and get janine pregnet i could see her being a mum. please get her pregnet before christmas that would be a nice christmas gift to who ever the father could be. if they could do it in emmerdale so could eastenders janine pregnet what a good story line that would be.

i would like to congratulate lola playing billy and julies grandaughter thought she was amazing normally it takes a while to notice newcomers but well done eastenders for finding her its about time we had some good young people coming thru looking forward to see how this story line goes hope shes here to stay

please can you make janine kind she has been bad the whole time and needs a change i would also like her to have a baby with someone. Can mercy stay and actually love fat boy and have a proper marriage.

What is going on with the camera work on Zanab/ Christians scene. Please don't do it again. It is horrible. Makes me feel sick and is very distracting. I love eastenders but I won't be able to watch it anymore if that is a sign to come. Not trying to be boring and I'm only 30 so not trying to be traditional but PLEASE don't be one of those programmed trying to be modern with horrid cameras

Also loved the Christian and Zainab showdown but have to agree with others here about the camera work. I also noticed it earlier in the week with Billy and Julie. I thought the same as you Lia s (20) about whether it was intentional and a modern camera work and I also hope it is not a sign of what is to come, please don't do it again EastEnders! :)

Not wholly relevant to the discussion but I loved Janine's dress tonight (15/07/11) does anyone know where it's from?

I mourn the loss of the Christian and Syed of a year ago. They were thoughtful, frustrated, communicative, and likeable. Since the arrival of new 'management', these two have become a pair of vacuous fish-wives who deserve better than their current executive producer. And why does a different person write the show's script each day? No character seems to have a consistent personality from one minute to the next. The show's underlying weakness is in the lack of celebration of the inherent goodness of people. There isn't a single character left with their dignity intact; the recent slaughter of Ronnie was particularly unwatchable.
If every producer is worse than the last, where does that leave the show in 20 years' time?
Mr Kirkwood, repent of your sins and give us a good show. Mr Santer, please come back, all is forgiven.

Right - always the way, kid in care and stereotypes accordingly - you know when you have spent years in care (15 years myself) you do get up to things, but not everyone runs off or becomes wayward - its time the likes of the Ö÷²¥´óÐã reflect some true successes, which may give some of these children hope for the future... rant over :)

Lola!! i love lola i hope that she comes back in eastenders after julie calls the police on her! as she has only just joined EE its pretty obvious she wont be leaving yet. i think that lola should run away and live with billy. billy should break up with julie and choose lola and him and lola find a place together ... and they all live happily ever after!! billy and lola are perfect together. they are match made in heaven but as family. if billy looses lola than it would break his heart. X

glad julie is leaving soon!!
