Roll on Christmas dahhhhn Albert Square - I'm expecting the traditional tears, tantrums and tinsel...but it's going to be sad heading towards Pat's departure from the show, so it'll be tissues at the ready. No character is bigger than the show itself but loosing Pat is one hell of a blow and I'm dreading it but I completely understand and respect Pam's desicion to leave. Hopefully there'll be a nice balance between drama and comedy - and some epic cliffhangers leaving us all at the edge of our seats wanting more too! I'd love to see Kat and Alfie have a nice Christmas after everything that happened earlier in the year and enjoy their first Christmas with baby Tommy. Obviously Derek's arrival will throw a spanner in the works at the Brannings, Bianca and Ricky will be back for Pat's funeral, and maybe even Nick Berry (Wicksy) and Michael French (David) too! I hope Max, Cora and Rainie are supporting Tanya too! Perhaps this is a big ask, but I'd love to see Peter and Lucy back with Ian, Mandy and Bobby at no. 45, so here's hoping! Hopefully lots of characters and families being used too! Roll on Christmas 2011 Walford style!

I think the christmas tree they have got up in the square is lovely,but has now blocked a lot of the view:O( So gutted pam is leaving she is one of the oldest characters. But good luck to her though.

well good luck to the cast filming christmas now! its forecast to be 28 degress this week. cant imagine having to work in that heat trying to act as though its cold and frosty. 28 degress heat in a warm winter coat and scarf and gloves etc! phew rather them than me!

speaking of christmas in the tabloids today they are talking about christmas tv schedules and downton abbey on itv. the bbc does not relie on ratings to get their income unlike itv, althogh normally because there is no money to be made with the advertisers itv traditionally gives up and closes down the channel and go on holiday till january. however this year they are making an effort with downton. if i were aunty i would put ee up against downton. chav’s against the aristocracy. tough call but iam a chav at heart and albert square is such a tradition on christmas day a bit like eric and ern. i would be a chav every time. ee would win with a big rating. duff duff duff duff duff duff duff duff duff! i think ee is on great form at the mo, love it. but my sky plus will be working overtime over the festive period. :-)

I've spotted Michael moon an janine outside the rnr.
What looks like Kay slater and Jean in the gardens, looks like someone's collapse or having a brawl.
I've also seen someone dressed as Santa, maybes Alfie.
I've also seen what looks like Lauren standing in the gardens with her arms open in a White t shirt and a police car outside Ian beales house.
I've seen Tanya waiting to film too. And what looks like edit moon holding some balloons and Charlie slater walking round.

No camera on the square today. Some filming must be going on that we are not allowed to see.

@bernie they have had it off for three days now and just before they turned it off I saw loads of filming happening outside the vic bunny how above these comments you can see it though but they aren't refreshing it :/ not a happy bunny lol

Wooow so excited can't wait till the huge duff duff moment on xmas, when there is 5 people who could die in the fire, one of them is Pat!! Shes an eastenders legend so get your tissues at the reaady cause this xmas will be a huge shocker!! We love you Pat, you'll always be forever the eastenders earring legend hehe!! Her time has finally come to an end in eastenders, this was her choice by the way so please don't blame the producers/directors cause she didn't want to carry on anymore she decided to quit it wasn't there fault ok... and i hope that Stacey comes back and I don't know why Bradley wanted to leave cause he and Stacey were amazinnn together! Its time to hang up Pat's earrings! By the way I've been mistaken its not a fire that she dies in but i think there is a fire at some point in eastenders.. sadly she dies of cancer! Omg another person with cancer.. I wonder what would happen with Tanya then... I don't think they'll kill her off though, I think Tanya shall get better, fingers crossed! Sources say that Pat later organises a party at the Queen Vic for her family and friends, which sparks the rumoured return of her sons Simon and David Wicks. With everyone gathered around, Pat reportedly comes clean over her illness, explaining that she has thrown the party to give those closest to her a chance to celebrate her life. As the bash continues, Pat apparently slips out quietly and returns home as she feels unwell, before passing away peacefully in bed. DMAX- 7-8 years behind good I couldn't handle that.There better be the big sing song around the tree on Christmas eve this year as when Brian took over we didn't have it last year It might sound stupid me moaning but that become a tradition on Christmas eve all the characters gathered around the tree with there family's singing the carols and what ever story is going on the tension builds you see the characters involved in the story glaring at each other etc remember 2009 that was good just think it use to build the story's up good for Christmas day

Sometimes I wonder if there are people actually living in some of the houses on the set.I've seen men and women late at night 12PM walking the streets,Like their holding hands and out for a stroll....Or maybe apparitions of characters past.

Now what they need instead of their web cams is 2 or 3 Earth Cams that the user can sweep an area.They have zoom and other features that would be much better than the outdated cams they are using.

I'm in North Carolina right now. The time is 8:15 am and the web cams have suddenly been turned off. They were setting up a camera shot. It looked like maybe Tyler Moon, and I saw a bald head too...maybe Phil? They're along side the R & R, it's raining (looks cold too)...Phil didn't get out of jail, did he?

Rebecca I'm in S Carolina,so how do U keep up on a story line that's running 6-7 years behind time. The last episode Laura fell down the steps and thats the end of her.

Why so many police cars on set?

There are so many police and Pilky the police are there because Ben kills Heather And Phil helps Ben to hide the evidence, mean while Ian and someone else are suspects.

I'm so excited, can't wail looks amazing and apparently Heather filmed her last scene on tuesday. EASTENDERS IS AMAZING!!!!

I have a ? for someone that knows about the set where all of Eastenders takes place. 1.Do they ever do tours like on a Sat when their not filming. 2. Are all the cars and some trucks part of the set only?They don't seem to move except when filming. #. Is there another web site that shows a better overlay of The Square and buildings to get a better idea of how its layed out. 4.Exactly where in London is this set? Between what streets?Maybe I could use Goggle Earth to bring it in and get a better idea of the layout...Thanks

1) Due to the hectic filming schedule, the Ö÷²¥´óÐã do not operate tours of the EastEnders set I'm afraid.

2) The vehicles on set are on hire from a company.

3) If you look online at Google Maps at Welbeck Close, Elstree you will be able to see the layout of Walford. Walford would sit around the area of Bromley by Bow London Underground station (Walford East takes the place of the Tube station on the mocked up map inside the station.)

4) Walford is based on Fassett Square in Dalston.Walford derives it's name from Walthamstow and Stratford.

Heavy Snow on the Eastenders Set, This Morning !!

first time I have ever seen a bus use the bus stop and actually stop there!!! not a very good bus service in walford if the bus only stops once a year or so!

I see Today that the Set dressers are spraying water through fire hoses to melt the Snow, i would imagine it is for continuity purposes, for filming !!!

I dont want Pat to leave but it sounds like it will be good
