News: Awards hat-trick for EastEnders
EastEnders collected a trio of gongs at the TV Choice Awards 2011 ceremony in London last night.
The showÌýbeat rival dramas Coronation Street, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks toÌýscoopÌýthe 'Best Soap'Ìýaward, while Shane Richie and Jessie Wallace were named best soap actor and actress respectively.

The pair, who play Kat and Alfie Moon, arrived back Albert Square last year and have seen some powerful storylines since their return.
Commiserations to nominees Steve John Shepherd and Jacqueline Jossa, very strong contenders in the Best Soap Newcomer category, who lost out on the night. We're sure we'll see them on the podium very soon!
