Isn't that Jack with Mandy? Ian get's jelous and ruins her chances with him or something so she smashes up his new car! (Eastenders must have a niiice budget!) Then they have a heart-to-heart and I think Ian proposes. Something like that :)

Amira is soooo annoying! What she doesn`t realise is the fact that you don`t choose to be gay. Why is she that desperate to get back with Syed? He will never fancy her or really want her, and he cheated on her, doesn`t matter was it with a man or a woman. Does she need to be with someone like that? Before she was a bit spoiled, but all in all likable girl, but now she is just a silly and nasty cow.

I think that Syed will leave Christian to be with Amira so he can be a Dad to baby Yasmin, because I think that Yasmin will eventually become more important to him than Christian. Just a thought...

I write to express with sadness, disappointment and anger regarding the manner the character Jean Slater a bi-polar sufferer is portrayed in the continuing episodes of Eastenders.

The character played as Jean is not a true to life representative of people with the condition of bi-polar. Rather; the character has been referred to on many occasions as "nutter" "off her head" and "looney". As a bi-polar sufferer myself, I find these comments of great insult. In a society that is working so hard to overcome barriers of discrimination against, colour, religion, sexuality, mental health issues and many more, your programme displays a blatant disregard regarding discrimination. For many on the outside world who have little or no understanding of bi-polar and may have not come into contact with a person with this condition, their opinions and views may be somewhat distorted by your ignorant representation and accompanying script.

We are people who are caring, intelligent, bright with feelings and emotions, working hard to overcome the many barriers and challenges that bi-polar creates.

The Equality Act 2010 was introduced to consolidate a number of laws, including the anti-discriminatory laws of the 70's, to allow people to be treated equally and with dignity and respect We may be treated differently but equally to allow us the same rights within society as non bi-polar people.

Your storylines, in my opinion require an overall review with references to bi-polar, perhaps you should consult the professional health services for guidance. The words "nutter" "looney" are not only offensive but are also damaging to bi-polar people, who may feel that society regards us all in this manner. I welcome your comments.

Jeannie, by having people react to Jean Slater in the ways in which you describe are likely done to show laws don't instantly change people's behavior, attitudes or feelings toward people with disabilities. As such, it's much more true to life than giving Jean a saccharine happy ending. Jean fights every day to keep it together, to live a normal life. I think it's realistic for her to have had this breakdown over Norman. She's thinking she's doing everything right and things are supposed to happen. What she didn't realize was it was all in her head. She may continue to have these kinds of challenges if she doesn't get help with her social skills.

In Monday's episode I felt the Ö÷²¥´óÐã got their depiction of bipolar disorder just right. Jean's words to Alfie were very moving. Thank you.

@Bigsmile76 - look at it from Amira's point of view: Amira loved Syed, still does, he was and is the love of her life. Syed totally deceived her - he pretended to be straight and pretended that he loved her like a boyfriend/husband does. In a way could say that he used her. And Christian was her friend. Both her husband and friend deceived and betrayed her. She's angry, who wouldn't be?. And to top it all, she had to cary and give birth to the baby of the man who did this to her and she has to take care of the baby every single day, looking at Yasmin and seeing Syed's eyes. It's difficult enough to get over what happend but then you have a baby who reminds you of that person everyday! Just imagine being in her shoes.

@Ofcourse: I see your point, but what I was saying is that I don`t understand why Amira still wants Syed after everything she had to go through because of him. She wants him not to be gay, not to lie to her and to want her - and that is not going to happen! And using her baby to manipulate Syed is out of order too. IMHO

i think whitney and fatboy should date as they make a better couple than whitney and tyler! also whitney has known fatboy longer! x

The editing on this weeks show was great. Gave a real sense if the the subtle relationships between the characters, showed great depth.

I love eastenders, but i think that some of what goes on in it is taken out of proportion, you have to remember that it is a soap, so bad things are going to happen all the time, whitney will never be with fatboy because it will make her happy, sad but true :'(

@Bigsmile76 - sure I get that. I just wanted to point out Amira's point of view to show that she's not just being nasty, she's still angry about what happened. I know she should have got over it by now though. Also, I think she wants Syed back because her dad has made her think that she's damaged goods and nobody in the community will ever want her. @kelz2010xx You're right. The Ian and Mandy pairing seems forced, and almost as random as her reappearance on the Square. Every time I see Ian pursuing Mandy, I have flashbacks to Ian's marriage to Cindy. And Cindy tried having Ian killed!

@Ofcourse re: Lauren calling Greg: Lauren called Greg because even though Greg was crushed by Tanya's sexual relationship with Max, he didn't leave because he didn't love her. He probably still harbors deep feelings for Tanya. And how could Lauren have called her father? No one knows where he disappeared to!

He implied 'girly' meant Lauren's male friends in the room, too; and, by including guys like Fatboy in his definition of 'girly,' Tyler also implied that female interests and behaviors were inherently beneath him as a man.
