All good characters are leaving ... First it's Stacey, next was Ronnie, after was Ryan, after that was Pat and now it's Jane ... COME ON !!!!!

MissyRD, Don`t forget Heather and David, and both Ricky and Kat are taking a break as well - and nobody is saying how long that break is gonna be! I thought Heather is leaving because she is upset with the writers - but apparently the producers just never extended her contract and simply kicked her out! WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!!!!

ben's line "he doesnt love you" to shirley totally just proved he does. we've seen that phil does love ben - so surely this means he loves shirley too? :)

I'm gonna miss Jane and why are loads of actors/actress leavings eastenders.
Example: Ricky Butcher, PT Evans, Heather Trott, Jane Beale

Don`t think Phil is really going to be Derek`s business partner/mate. He just wants to keep his enemy close and find out what he`s up to. However, Ben did manage to make him suffer and put him behind the bars, so can Phil win the fight with someone like Derek?

Desperately saddened how the pioneer of gay storyline broadcasting appears to have diminished, retracted the existence of LGBT in Eastenders.

But prior to this we see the only visible gay characters role as an informer (Ben) to his Father, as a cowardly vendetta for being misunderstood.

How wrong is this ? A young gay man who had been loyally supported by his family and 鈥淔ather鈥� even when he struggled to come out to the world. Not on the street as many gay men have had to face, after being physically abused by their parents who found their son is gay, and living a life of homelessness.
I guess this true life experience is not as comforting a storyline to those who seek for a gay villain.

grrrrr, sorry guyys, but corrie won for the best serial drama!! i was begging for Eastenders to win!!!! grrrr, im angry, but still, Eastenders is still the winner in my heart.

oh and congrats to Jacqueline Jossa!!!! glad she won!

I am really annoyed that EastEnders didn't win...I had myself convinced that they had won and now I'm reaaly angry. EastEnders is the winner to me though :)

I think Anthony&Amira are good together and I don't know how Tanya will cope without her best friend, I don't think Jane should go

Yeah I think eastenders should of won as well, but time though :) . And also think jane should stay

I think Eastenders missed on being the best soap because the Masood/Zainab storyline went on far too long, it got very boring. Get rid of the poser Amira!

@ Hamza - surely Ben's storyline is not just about a gay boy, it's about Ben and his dad. Phil has always been a bit horrible to Ben. Ben has had enough of it. It's not just about him being gay and Phill not being happy about it. Ben is not just gay, he is also a 15 year old boy who's got troubles due to things that happened - his mum died young, he had to come to the UK after that and then Stella abused him, then his dad always teased him and never accepted him for who he is, instead he (Phil) wanted him (Ben) to be just like him - a hard man.

Tonights episode was emotionall. I was literally crying when Tanya came and they both dashed up and hugged. Im really going to miss Jane. And also i love those girly things Jane and Tanya do. awwww, its so sad :(

EE was very good over Christmas and new year with Pat's passing away etc. but now the story lines have gone back to their previous low standard. Why on earth is it that when characters move away a short distance, it is always treated like a major tragedy??? Jane is going to Cardiff - 2 hours away by train! - and can easily visit or others visit her. In the last episode it was treated like she was off to Australia! Totally implausible and unconvincing.

I agree with Shianne that the storylines tend to go on far too long - that was why Pat's passing away was brilliantly done because it happened quickly with all her family around her etc. The Zainab and Masood story lines have taken far too long to develop - I agree that Amira is annoying and I think she should be written out. Also the infamous Ronnie baby swap story took far too long to play out. The writers need to take a hard look at the way they create plots and to make them briefer, simpler and more realistic - and to flow from the characters and not their own personal prejudices etc The story about Ben is getting more unbelievable by the day and I hear that he is going to kill Heather - totally out of character.

Hadi - I agree Jane is just going to Cardiff, although I guess that is very far because the residents of Walford never go anywhere - they all work in Walford, date Walford residents, go to the pub and nightclub in Walford, rarely they go to the west end so Cardiff is very far lol.

What I found funny is that Jane said "I can do anything" when she left Walford, it's like if ypu stay in Walford you can't do much with your life! But Walford is in London - the capital city!! London is a happening city but Jane had to go to Cardiff to do something with her life! No offence to Cardiff- that is a great city. You expect someone to leave a village or even a town and go to London for it to be such a big deal! When Gethin said that he plans to open a restaurant in Paris and Jane could work there she look excited. I can understand the excitement about that but again Paris is the capital of France and Jane is already in the capital of the UK.

Why doesn't anyone work in the city? Or in central London? That would be realistic. If anyone wants a job they have to work in Walford! Silly!
