We Won! Best Radio Show 2009 UK AMA's.
Last night the Friction show won in the best Radio Show category at the 2009 UK Asian Music Awards.Ìý It was an award that I dedicated to the Amazonian Radio warriors who have pulled the show (and me!) together four times a week for the last three years.
Respects must go out to the shows producers Reju, Jenny and Helen - with of course much love and vibes to Meera and Aman - my assistant producers (and the individuals who do all the work).Ìý Also I must make a special mention of Zab Khan who over the years has been executive producer of the show and a calming influence.
Anywayz - you know our show sounds unique, and isn't just a run of the mill Desi show, so if there's anything you think we should do 'more' or 'less' of then post your comments here.
The only things I remember from the night are as follows:-
1. H Dhami's amazing silver suit - Got me right jealous I tells thee!
2. Heckling Adil and saying "we want Raa, we want Raa - Get Off!"
3. Heckling the actor who plays Tanveer Massood in Eastenders!
4. Jay Sean collecting 3 awards.
5. MIA winning best Female.
6. Watching an artist NO-ONE has ever heard of playing twice on the night!!!?? Who was she?
7. Winning the award and thanking everyone apart from the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Asian Network or Radio 1!!
