so i completed my charidee run for cystic fibrosis on saturday - 10 kilometres in 55 minutes so i was quite pleased with myself - even if i cant walk now!
ive been booted out the one music seat this thursday by my scottish compadre vic galloway who'll be repping from oop north cos its radio 1s big weekend in dundee so the whole stations gone tartan..
im up there too with chris coco djing on sat night and thne warming up for the yeah yeah yeahs on the In New Music We Trust stage on Sunday - hope Karen O likes my tunes and wears some sparkly leggings..
we need to know some info off you gusy too for our Not So Secret Now Secret -
1) anyone live in derby? we're uncovering the scene up there and need some hot bands and djs to plus..email onemusic@bbc.co.uk if youve got any ideas
2) we're also gonna be doing a feature on underground festivals as there are so many around ...do let us know if you're going to a small underground festy anytime soon..same email pls

Gave a box full of CD's of bands from Derby to Amy at Maida Vale yesterday. so hunt her down.
Underground festival in Derby: Ponce in the Park, its a 3 day free event.
Last time somebody posted up details of a big underground festival the police swooped in. Within two years it was gone.
You guys can't even put on top of the pops without bother from the government.
You'll forgive people if the don't advertise underground events nowadays...

Hey, I play in some open mic nights in Derby, where I'm a student. There's a great live music scene there with loads of really great acts and great characters. Check out Twenty5Stories (www.twenty5stories.blogspot.com)
- they're a really great band, with some great original stuff and the harmonies are just fantastic.

I second Mima's choice twenty5stories are awesome live and a great bunch of guys by far one of the best bands in derby considering they have only been together for about 6/7 months. Their stuff is original and worth being exposed. Check them on myspace www.myspace.com/twenty5stories

I'm backing up Mima and Sam, Twenty5Stories are awesome, they have some absolutely breathtaking harmonies and songs that you will be singing all week. Been to a few of their gigs now and i think they deserve more recognition on a national scale...H
