New to the Radio 1 playlist this week are China Rats with N.O.M.O.N.E.Y. following the release of their debut EP, To Be Like I.
The fourpiece from Leeds, who only started playing together last year, have already got the attention of Ö÷²¥´óÐã Introducing DJs Huw Stephens, Tom Robinson and Alan Raw and will now be running around your heads with 2 minutes of pop punk charm.
The track balances the issue of insufficient funds ("Got another bill I only could sigh") with an upbeat attitude directing you straight to the dancefloor. The '50s pop feel and sunny harmonies are hard to resist – it’s slick, catchy and likely to get you doing a little chair dance at your desk.
This week (w/c May 7th) the song is available to download for free from the . Result.
