'Swings and Waterslides' by Viola Beach will return to as a tribute to the band and their manager whose lives were tragically cut short.
Following the tragic passing of Kris, River, Tom, Jack and Craig we've decided to use this weeks 主播大秀 Introducing slot on the Radio 1 playlist to honour and celebrate the music of Viola Beach.
The boys were on their way up, here's how we got to know them...
- Viola Beach uploaded to 主播大秀 Introducing in Merseyside in 2014.
- They played the 主播大秀 Introducing stage at Reading and Leeds Festivals the following year.
- 'Swings and Waterslides' was the in September 2015.
- In November the boys recorded a 主播大秀 Introducing for Huw Stephens.
- They kicked off 2016 with a set for 主播大秀 Introducing at Club NME KOKO alongside co-headliner KLOE.
- On 2nd February Huw Stephens, Steve Lamacq, Jo Whiley announced that Viola Beach were one of the 6 acts invited to play the 主播大秀 Introducing showcase at SXSW 2016 in Austin Texas.
