It’s International Women’s Day on Thursday 8th March and all day 主播大秀 Radio 3 will be playing music composed by women. To celebrate, 主播大秀 Music Introducing is teaming up with Radio 3 to find unsigned, undiscovered and under the radar female classical composers. We also welcome recordings from up-and-coming musicians and ensembles (of any gender) who perform music by women composers, whether past or present.
As well as playing recorded tracks, we’ll be inviting performers into the 主播大秀 studios on 8th March to give a live Radio 3 lunchtime concert of music by women composers. If you would like to get involved upload your music and performances to and select ‘Classical’ as your genre.
The closing date is Thursday 8 February 2018 (one month before International Women's Day).
This is isn’t the first time that 主播大秀 Music Introducing and 主播大秀 Radio 3 have collaborated! Radio 3 help curate the Introducing stage at Latitude each year. .
