Style: Poetic alt rock with haunting vocals
Essential: Another Sky are Catrin, Max, Naomi and Jack who formed while they were studying music together at Goldsmiths University. They have been supported by Introducing in the North East since January and Radio 1's Huw Stephens is also a fan. The band take their name from an Emily Dickinson poem called 'There Is Another Sky' and they have remained pretty mysterious, with their artwork portraying their faces being melted off... Their unique sound has been compared to Alt J and Radiohead, and their lyrical content cuts deep, with 'Avalanche' exploring the toxic nature and oppression of masculinity. Another Sky are currently finishing their album and working on their live show... We can't wait to see what comes next!

Essential: Kayda May is a rapper and singer from Reading who has been championed by Introducing in Berkshire as well as 6 Music. Kayda says: “I'm all about 808's, disturbing the peace and creativity. Breaking rules and boundaries. Sleepless nights in my room with a pen, pad and a bottle of supermalt" - the studio is her home. Her music merges reggae, hip hop and RnB influences, and she is inspired by Lauryn Hill, Erykah Badu and Missy Elliott. ‘Endz’ features Silqe and Marcus Data and is a blistering hip hop belter - it's a big thumbs up from us on this one.
