Zola Blood was born in October last year, after a few months of sharing dodgy iPhone recordings between friends Matt (vocals/guitar), Ed (Synth), Sam (drums) and Rob (guitar).聽 The foursome found a little box studio out in Hackney Wick and have been writing, recording and getting electronic out there ever since.
聽They channel Trentemoller, Jon Hopkin, Arthur Russell and Caribou.聽 And when Berlin based super-producer Applescal got hold of their latest track, Meridian, a head-spinning remix emerged. It will be the title track of their EP due for release on Pond Life, October 20th.聽 If you love what you hear 鈥� watch out because there鈥檚 a studio album due to come out in the new year.
