Today's Desert Island Disco is from a chap named Ben Darlow, and there's one track in particular that gets this guy in the mood - all 13 minutes of it! And yes we are going to be playing it! Here's Ben in his own words:
"Seeing as you were all so insistent, here鈥檚 my proposed selection for Desert Island Disco. Yes; 鈥榃eekender鈥� is both long AND there is some profanity that needs bleeping out but I鈥檓 sure that鈥檚 a hurdle you can overcome.听
It鈥檚 particularly meaningful for me, as it was the final song played each year at the Big Chill by the festival radio station before it signed off at the end of the festival weekend 鈥� I only went once (in 2003) but it capped off a perfect weekend as our car slowly crawled out of the sun-baked field. And with it nearly being festival season again, hopefully these choice cuts will get everybody in the mood.
