Schools across the UK join the Winterwatch Live Lesson

Keep Winterwatch going in your classroom with a special 主播大秀 Teach Live Lesson for 7-11 year olds.  to catch up!

Did your school take part in our special Winterwatch Live Lesson today?

Packed full of wonderful wildlife, Naomi Wilkinson, Patrick Aryee and wildlife expert Lizzie Daly guided thousands of children through habitats and winter wildlife adaptions, with the fantastic Chris Packham on hand to answer all questions live from the Winterwatch set in the Cairngorms!

We met Tilly the Golden Eagle with her expert bird handler, Lloyd Buck. Lloyd explained how Tilly is supremely adapted to surviving bitterly cold temperatures, with amazing eyesight to help catch prey, extremely dense under plumage and weatherproof feathers.

We explored a variety of habitats, comparing the harsh remoteness of the Cairngorms, with classrooms across the UK.

Chris Packham raced through numerous questions in our quick fire questions round live from the Cairngorms. We had so many that the wonderful Winterwatch team joined the effort after the show, and answered all social media questions that came in.

Teachers, don’t worry if your school couldn’t join live. You can catch up on the full programme with your class on the Live Lessons website.
