Will the 7/7 trial happen today?
The Crosby report on mortgages out today paints a bleak picture of the prospects for mortgages. Strikingly - it's expected to suggest temporary government support for mortgage providers.
So should taxpayers help fund the mortgage market, and what should we get in return? Paul Mason will look at today's report, and also how the banking industry in general is in trouble, and how there too, the idea of "nationalisation" is rearing its head.
The Shadow Work and Pensions Secretary Chris Grayling will outline policies to deal with unemployment and crime in deprived areas. Shall we look at his ideas in detail?
We have a film on Belarus - "the last dictatorship in Europe".
What else? There's room for more.

It would also lower fossil fuel bills for everyone, pump money into the economy and the treasury. So it looks all positives. So why does the govt not only ignore a two way grid but campaign against it?

In other words could we have an unelectable governing party and an unelectable opposition in a first past the post system that prevents failing parties from being replaced.

Also what about the carbon shortfall and the UK (post-UK?) preparedness for it. Is the flight from carbon too cosmetic to provide energy security?

As Britain seems to be too broke to fund itself out of all these crises, can we expect Gordon to float us on the international stock exchange? We have flogged off all the infrastructure and commerce so why not realise some cash on the 'site'?
