Newsnight Economics Editor Paul Mason writes:

I'm getting used to the concept of 'X trillion dollars'. The draft G20 communiqué leaked to the German press at the weekend is full of placeholders for money commitments that have not yet been decided. What is clear is that any new fiscal stimulus commitment is off the agenda. But only the outright cynics will say the does not matter. It is set to deliver a concrete commitment to regulating the banking system. It will certainly deliver new money to the International Monetary Fund. But the danger remains that the emerging rival policy blocs will take action that accelerates the collapse of globalisation.

After that, Mark Urban will be reporting on the lawlessness of Lahore and what it means for Pakistan's fragile political state. As the Ö÷²¥´óÐã Secretary is mired in embarrassment over using Commons expenses to pay for porn, MPs are offered a pay rise. Michael Crick asks if it's bad timing or just a bad idea. And 20 years after witnessing the Hillsborough disaster at first hand, Peter Marshall turns up new evidence of what went wrong that day.

And after Newsnight tonight - the first terrestrial showing of the drama that's been called the best TV series ever made - . If you want to know what you're in for, here's what , and critic .

' The German interior ministry has banned a far-right group for allegedly organising activities promoting racist and Nazi ideology among young children.

The Ö÷²¥´óÐãland-Faithful German Youth (HDJ) taught children as young as six that foreigners and Jews were a threat to the "German nation", officials said. '

If only we would learn from the Germans! They didn't have Russian Roulette bankers - except where influenced by us - and they also have laws against Holocaust Denial.

It is an infringement on free speech but I feel that its really only infringing the right to lie.

Did anybody else see the kids on the "bouncy castle" at their conference in a field on "BNP Wives".

Won't they grow up to be well balanced.

Thought last nights programme was good. The Chinese ambassador trod a careful and diplomatic line - can't blame her.

But I think there is an issue in that blame as such is not required - though if probable culprits claim to be heroes in the regulation camp its bound to go down like a lead balloon.

But what is required is open acknowledgement that mistakes have been made and that therefore we can be confident that fixes will work. Not the vague hints from Brown.

If the crash was due to some vague "global phenomenon" then why will regulation help?

Of course a lot of it does look to be down to the regulation - as has been shown to be the case with HBOS.

thegangofone (#1) "The German interior ministry has banned a far-right group for allegedly organising activities promoting racist and Nazi ideology among young children."

The allies implemented a drastic denazification programme at the end of the war to democratize Germany. This ended up favouring the communsts throughout Europe which is just what the USSR wanted. This is essentially how political correctness became so influential. It was designed to undermine statism and thus facilitate unregulated capitalism, Neo-Marxism (Lukacs and Gramsci) predicting the latter would then collapse under its own confusion/corruption.

I see your're doing your bit at pulling your country down, but do you do so wittingly or are you just another 'useful idiot'?
