I think I've just been subject to racism by Darcus Howe. I certainly object to being swept up into whatever he thinks all 'whites' do or try to achieve. How can a man who has campaigned on this topic get it so wrong? A racist view is a racist view, irrespective of who said it. Abbott should be sacked, she has already got away with too many racist comments of her own and is arguably one of the biggest hypocrites in Government.

Interesting that studio guest 'Yes Men & Woman' (from Economist, GS & JR) would appear to have rejected the general proposition of Paul Mason that 'protectionism' will figure prominently in 2012?

That for me was the main issue of tonight's programme and IMO was very revealing as 'protectionism' is already a major issue in global economy & media & business will not address it for fear of upsetting 'vested interests' i.e. countries, corporate & tax deals.

Protectionism takes many forms & guises & corporate taxation policy is a major protectionist issue also - as 'tax dodging' issue is also a protectionist issue - as practised by GS and condoned by rotten 'The Economist' (Yes Men/Women) magazine.

BRIC countries have part command economies precisely to operate protectionism whether 'overt' as practised by nasty aggressive Russia or more 'covert' in the form of Chinese gaining control of precious metal & other global commodity market supply & pricing - very worrying indeed. Brasil & India have strong tariff protectionism also on certain imports/exports?

So where have these 'Yes Men/Women' stooges been for last few years to deny the existence of current rampant global protectionism - IMO, as rightly indicated by Paul Mason in as much as 'protectionism' is now in 2012 likely to feature more prominently take fresh turn with turmoil in Eurozone with Euro pricing risk.

Point being that discussion of existing protectionsim would have been a better starting point to put these so called experts on the spot & reveal their 'economic prejudice' & 'yes man activity'?

BTW on other issue - 'white bashing' - it was astonished to hear comments by those supporting you know who with her incitement of racial hatred - it is clear that some in whatever community they have - do not simply have a race equality agenda - if they've ever had one - they would appear to still see the 'whites' as there to attack and are prepared to build on the MP's racist statements. I'd hazard, not great. Darcus Howe was a disaster for the cause of moderate discourse. Or sanity, for that matter. Mr. Katawala was not bad, but when words such as activism get lobbed around, I worry when an un-context provided 'think tank' rep is put up as an 'expert'. And did he ever grab the 'storm in a teacup' and 'moving on' lifelines from Ms. Maitless. What. A. Stitch-up.

The factual matters of claimed 'context' or text length by Ms. Abbott were totally passed over, despite all online evidence and fisking all day long. Another selective edit memory hole inspired from behind the glass or on high? This is not news, it's pure news management.

This 'political A-lister' is the product of patronage from such as the 主播大秀 with, as described, 'her own show' (Messrs Neil and Portillo may feel they are playing more than supporting roles). You reap what you sow, guys.
