I can well believe it. But surely it does make reference to euphemisms such as "economic restraint" and "spending reductions"? That's not denial; merely spin. And find me any political party - or even any organisation or individual, public figure or otherwise - not guilty of that.

When Our Nick (aka His Nick) rushed to the side of Cameron, I was painfully reminded of Blair rushing to Dubya's shoulder and - indeed - 'Bluebottle's' weekly rush to the paunch of Neddy Seagoon, to the cry of: "Can I be the man that - - - - Capting?"

The few truly mature individuals on this planet, need very little; the last thing they wish for is power. By the same token, those who work single-mindedly for ever-greater power, are desperately IMMATURE. Inside every powerful man is one of those tots who shoved the placid kid off the tractor. (Just what lurks inside power-hungry women, I would rather not bring into consciousness.)
