Are mobility scooters a new hip hop accessory?

A colleague here in 主播大秀 World Wide Web Towers went to see a gig by last night, and the support act were Welsh comedy prankster rappers . When they took to the stage, one of them was apparently riding round in a mobility scooter. Is this some sort of new rap fashion statement? Will it spread to the USA, as all the big name rappers trade in their huge blacked-out 4x4s for mobility scooters? And more to the point, have any of you young trendy Ouch'ers about town seen the Goldie Lookin' Chain mobility scooter phenomenon? Are they trying to make a point, or is it just some not particularly funny joke? Comments welcome.

Ouch: I am from the USA, Florida, and I have been thinking about getting one as I have trouble getting around. But I don't think it is trendy as the article says. In the USA lots of them are around as Medicare pays for them if you need them. My husband thinks I will depend on it too much though and doesn't want me to get one. He is afraid I won't try to walk anymore, but it is harder and harder for me to walk with PSP which I have for the last 6 years.

My mobilty scooter is a life saver I go shopping every day and my 70 year old mother who I live with could not do this. It saves the state the cost of putting me in a residental home and I bought the scooter myself saving the hypecrital state a fortune

We recieve a lot of emals saying how the scooter has changed the users life, giving back their independence...
